Poor - doesn't charge Arlo Pro 3 enough during winter months
It's great to be able to have my Arlo Pro 3 completely wireless by using this solar panel as the power source. However, 3 issues:1. Not using mains power does restrict the brightness of the security light, but this isn't mentioned up front. That said, I still find the brightness is more than adequate for my needs.2. I'm not sure why this panel costs considerably more than unbranded or other brand solar panels that generate similar power. However, Arlo uses a proprietary magnetic fitting making you forced to buy their own panel.3. THIS IS THE BIG ISSUE! It simply doesn't generate enough power to allow the camera and light to work during dark hours in winter months. I've had to reduce the light brightness to just 35%, start recording an hour after dusk and stop it recording an hour before sunrise, just to stop the battery draining faster than it's charging. And that's without any recording during the day.For this last reason, I've edited my review down to 1 star, because the solar panel is simply not up to the job in the UK. Very disappointed as it means your camera can't be truly wireless if you want it to work all the time!

A great idea, but overall unreliable
Bought a couple of these to complement two cameras where the battery life of Arlo was not as hoped. The cameras in question are in a relative high footfall area, with the standard battery packs providing somewhere between 1 and 2 weeks of life. I added these solar panels at the start of summer and did a decent job during the longer sunnier days. As expected with solar panels, their efficiency dropped in winter when the shorter, cloudier days kicked in. One small concern here was in the reliability of the panels. Despite being placed roughly w meters apart, at the same elevation and in the same direction, I often found that only one would work at any given time. While the panels did help to extend the battery life of the camera, it wasn’t quite enough to justify their cost. Ultimately I replaced with the outdoor power cables. With hindsight, having been able to test over an extended period, I think these are better suited to cameras in low/ zero footfall areas where the panels can slowly trickle feed and extend the battery life over a longer horizon.

Does the job perfectly!
These are really good and solves the problem of having to run cables through your house or struggling to find an external power socket that can accommodate an external charger. Just put one of these up and away you go. These are apparently best mounted in a southern direction so that you can capture the sun throughout the day. Do take this in mind when purchasing as some people have had a grumble saying that they don't work. They do, if you use them correctly. They do a trickle charge which is enough to keep your camera connected without the need to take the camera down to charge it all the time. It's worth noting that you do not get the extra 'always on' power features of your Arlo cameras with this as you would do if you had your camera powered from a mains outlet.

Magnetic holders are great!
These magnetic holders are great for indoors or outdoors-remember though, that if they are low enough, it is simple to steal your camera, so install high or use inside. I have disregarded the thousands of pounds I spent on Carlo products for my property as per my other reviews, the products are not fit for purpose and you will spend more time messing about with it all than you will receiving any benefit of anything it picks up. Buy a professional wired system.

Cable too short
The cable from the panel to the camera is quite short. It charges a camera located in a tree in our garden. It was OK when the tree had no leaves, but now the panel does not charge because it is shielded from the sun by leaves. The cable isn’t king enough to allow the panel to be mounted in a sunny position.
