More than likely but it also depend upon the size of the differential housing(s) and how you apply it. If you apply a 1/8" or 3/16" wide bead, probably so!

Can it be used in transmission pan too ? Or is just for diffs and transfer case ?

I have a small drip on a differential stud.. on a Tacoma will this be good to use as a dressing over the hex washer nut to stop the drip??

First off i would remove the nut then spray that area with brake cleaner. Then let dry then apply the sealer around the stud then use a flat washer followed by a lockwasher then the nut and tighten. Give the sealant a chance to cure. Good to Go.
