Surya Brasil Products Henna Cream, Black, 2.37 Fluid Ounce

I bought this product in 27th November 2020 during White Friday sale. Yet, I had to pay AED 211.00 after discount based on the reviews given in Amazon. It was not at all worthy & I have been cheated both moneywise & product-wise. Hence I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Years ago I developed an allergy to a chemical that exists in nearly every hair dye (and other dye products, including tattoo ink) on the market called PPD. Some countries have actually banned the use of this in tattoo ink now due to the fact that about 25% if the population can develop a serious allergy to this chemical, as I found out after it sent me to the ER the last time I went to the hair salon to get my hair dyed using a product with PPD in it (just a standard hair dye). For awhile I was really disappointed, thinking I couldn't ever dye my hair again. Not a tragedy, but disgruntling. Then I began to try Henna products, but most of them are very messy or take a lot of prep work to make happen, and my stylist didn't want to deal with them. Until I found this gem. Not only is it organic, but it's super easy to use, even on my own from home (as I discovered during Covid). More importantly, it's simple enough that my stylist is fine with using it, and now I can get my hair cut and colored by her as I used to do, just using this product, which is delivered similar to how most hair dyes are in the store. My hair has now gone completely gray, but this product keeps it a vibrant, warm natural Auburn/brown color very close to my original hair color. While with most Henna products you can go very red, this Dark Brown actually keeps my hair that color. And because it's Henna, the way it dyes your hair makes it have natural highlights. Unlike traditional dyes which strip your hair and then "paint" each strand the same color, this works with the various tones that are naturally in your hair and colors them subtly differently so it looks very natural. However, if you don't want to actually color your hair, they also have color-free versions to use just for the health benefits of Henna, which naturally softens and strengthens your hair as well. Since I've been using this product, my hair has gotten healthier and stronger than ever, and makes it so soft. The downside is, of course, you have to apply it far more often than traditional permanent dyes. It is semi-permanent, meaning it will need re-application about every 4 - 6 weeks. However, for me that's about when I need to cover my roots up anyway nowadays, so it doesn't bother me. I do the roots myself at home in between salon visits. It's easy, takes me about an hour, and done. So... if you're looking for a natural organic alternative to hair dye, try this. Even if you're not forced into due to allergies like me, you may find you prefer it, as I do now, just because of how healthy it makes your hair.

I used other natural hair colour before to cover grey hair and the result wasn't that great. With this henna cream (Copper) my hair looked very natural and my grey hair were covered well. Also my hair didn't dry at all (I have very fine dry hair). They were soft and shiny and all my friends compliment me on them. Highly reccomend it. Delivery was fast and well packed.

When I say it has been a hell of a ride getting a nice rich black colour without the horrible chemical burns, welts and cuts that happened slowly over a year when I would dye my hair. I was desperate but nothing worked. This is what I’ve been looking for. It doesn’t leak down your face if you sweat either! I did a spin class and it was fine, and that’s the best test aside from rain. No chemical burns, just all over amazing shine and grey coverage. Anyone that had greys left likely washed it off too soon, or didn’t part your hair and apply enough colour! So not to worry, as you can see my naturally very dark almost black hair looks almost light brown and white before I dyed it. Leave it on for a long time. I left mine for 4 hours after watching a bunch of YouTube reviews. I used the entire bottle to do my roots. Def would need 2 to go for my whole head. I have waist length, fine hair but alot of it. This made my hair so soft and silky feeling too. Like a treatment. And for reference what I’ve tried before is Arctic fox Transylvania, runs blue down your face if it’s wet and gets on your sheets, doesn’t cover grey really. Same goes for Kenra True Black. DpHue black is bomb, for a refresh but not aggressive grey coverage, acts as a black gloss so ur not embarrassed to leave the house with bad hair lol. Bumble and bumble colour stick crayon in black, good but expensive af if you use it more than a few times a month, it wont last. However its a bandaid solution between dyes in a pinch, but it will always be in my bag anyways. I tried Olia like it suggested in many articles too, burnt my head very very badly, so patch test is key. Update 3 weeks later: colour is starting to wash out, but for the amount of wash out its not bad and wont be embarrassing to leave the house or anything. It actually washes out with each wash, the water has a bit of brownish in it, but it’s not too bad. You do need to make sure your wet hair isn’t on your light things, it can stain it. I do spin classes and don’t find any colour transfer from sweating.

I have been coloring my hair for 20 years with products full of chemicals. My husband showed me an article warning about these unhealthy products which scared me, so I thought I'd give henna a try. I have done henna when I was young, the powder type, but that was messy and did not want to use that. That's when I found this product which is a cream version of Henna. It is so easy to apply, it is soft, has no smell, it is a bit oily which makes it super nice to touch and to apply. The bottle seems small but there was more than enough in there for my hair which is shoulder length. I did not use it all. The result is stunning, I used the copper one, it is shinny, the color is deep and does NOT look fake as can do the chemical versions of hair colors, especially when you go red. I even did my eyebrows, they look great too. I don't write reviews normally but this is an outstanding product which deserves one. Happy coloring everyone :)
