Didn’t last a year unfortunately - update
Ordered this battery for a long plane ride and for backup power for my cpap. Worked fine for almost a year. Noticed a few weeks ago my cpap would stop working in the middle of the night. Removed battery from equation and cpap works fine. Put battery on counter with nothing plugged in and it had dropped to 95% charge in about 30 minutes. That’s a lot of money to spend for a battery that lasted less than 1 year. 2 stars because when it held a charge and worked it was fine.Update - Contacted customer service and spoke to Edward. They honored their warranty and even sent me a brand new model of the battery. Changing this to 5 stars just based on customer service. They also gave me a list of things to do to keep my battery in good working order which I am listing below. Very satisfied customer now.For longer run times, you must turn off your CPAP's heated humidifier and tube temperature. When not in use, always disconnect the DC-output cables from the battery. This practice will enable the battery to enter a complete shutdown mode.Keep your device stored in a cool, dry environment with a temperature range of 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F).To prevent potential damage from incompatible voltage or current, make sure to use authorized chargers. If you plan to use the battery periodically, it's essential to perform a full discharge and recharge cycle every 90 days. To achieve this, you can either charge other devices such as mobile phones or iPads using the USB output or use the battery as a power source for your CPAP machine for at least one night. This process ensures the battery remains in optimal condition.

Had it for two years. Here is what I found...not reliable enough, max 500 charge discharge
I bought this two years agoI used this for emergency use only. We sometimes have power reliability issues here, 2-3 times a year. I used it twice in the first year, and it worked great once with Resmed Airsense 10 w/ humidifier. The other time I may have had an issue that it didn't come on. It may have been user error.I had this as emergency only and to pay this much for something that only lasts for two years is not acceptable, for me. I think you can get better options for half to a third of the price and purchase as a throw away, if it fails. The upfront cost is too significant for me to take another chance on this brand/company. A one year warranty is not enough, at this cost, as a back-up emergency. I would look elsewhere for a much cheaper alternative.I contacted customer service, and they were quick to respond. They also stated it was only warrantied for a year. They also mentioned 500 charge/discharge uses out of this, or 2-3 years. I would like to have known this beforehand. I wouldn't have made this purchased.I did like that it was the right size to be able to travel with, and I placed too much importance on this feature. I don't travel long flights or places with power reliability issues. I can't imagine using my humidifier on a long flight, adding water, hoping it doesn't spill. I don't camp. This battery may be good for those people, if the battery even lasts. Just think about how this will be used for you. I am guessing the vast majority are like me, not the frequent traveler/camper.Do you want to spend this much to find out it failed on you after 13 months? No thanks for me. Learn the lesson from my loss, save your money and steer clear of this brand/company.

perfect for AirSense 11
I bought this battery backup to use primarily on an overnight flight from SFO to Paris two weeks ago. It was perfect.Prior to that flight, I tested the battery as my power source for my AirSense 11. I used the humidifier on my CPAP, and went to sleep. About 4 hours later, I woke up without the CPAP working. As mentioned on other reviews, the battery life didn't last through the night. But, if you turn the humidifier off and leave the water chamber empty, you're in business. I slept on the plane without water and it worked great. I still had plenty of power to recharge my iPad and phone. A few days later (without charging), I had 40% of the power still left.I'm not sure if Parisians use CPAPs and where they buy their distilled water, but I went into pharmacies and large grocery stores and could not find. I didn't use the humidifier for two weeks and slept fine. Except for jet lag but that's a different story.

Excellent customer support
I've had two technical issues with this battery, but customer support agents Jane and Edward have given me excellent service via both email and phone, and I am happy with the product. To my mind, excellent customer support trumps any minor technical issues one might have with any product. The first technical issue was that the supplied cord that came with the unit (the cord that connects the battery to my AirSense10) was flaky. The power on the CPAP would blink on and off. After talking to support, Jane sent me a completely new kind of connecting cord (a type which wasn't included in the original box). In fact, since I'd bought three batteries (one for my nightstand, one for travel, and one for my girlfriend who also uses an AirSense10) they sent me three replacement cords. The replacement cords worked perfectly and I didn't have any problems with them after that. The second technical issue is that the battery died on my nightstand after about eight months. It started making a high pitched "coil whine" sound, and turning itself off and on. I returned the unit with a prepaid return label that they sent me, and Edward replaced the battery, no questions asked. To be clear: The other two batteries that I bought are still working fine.

Worthwhile buying.
I bought this on April 30, 2024. Tried it for the first time 2 nights ago. It powered my ResMed device for only 3 hours before it was out of charge. Not even enough for one night! So . . disappointed. I will try to debug the issue. But, so far, not at all worth the money ($300). UPDATE: I figured out how to disable (on my CPAP device) the humidifier and the tube temperature control. With these disabled, the Freedom battery lasted all night and still had 50% left on the battery. So, that meets my expectations. And seems will be useful in a power outage.

It not ONLY LOOKS GOOD, but Works very well...ONLY NEGATIVE...
Well, I put this through its FIRST test, which yielded me 14-16 hours of battery power for my ResMed AirSense 10. I also got a callback (within less than 24 hours) from Edward, which was extremely helpful. professional and polite. Now for THE NEGATIVE, Please Provide or Suggest a reasonably priced Travel Carry Case. I can not seem to find ANY, and it Will Not fit in my ResMed AirSense 10. So I McGyvered it to travel with me...lol

Failed in 15 months and may be dangerous!
I purchased this battery in June of 2023. In October 2024, it suddenly just stopped working. It seemed to be fine up until it quit. More disturbingly, it has started to make random loud popping sounds every so often. Being a lithium ion battery, this has me concerned and I placed it outside on concrete until I take it to the hazardous waste disposal in my area.I called the company, who is now known as “CPAP Hero” and they told me nothing could be done as it only has a 12 month warranty. So, I am extremely disappointed and would NOT recommend this battery to anyone based on my experience. It may actually be dangerous and I’m glad I am not on a plane with it when it started making the popping sounds. Stay away!

Great for camping off grid!
We bought 2 for our machines to use at the trailer. We’re off grid and we were running a generator all night to power our cpap machines. Now we can sleep in silence! After 9 or so hours of sleep there’s about 35% left on the battery. We use a regular (non heated) hose and turn off the humidifier. During the day we often run the generator to charge phones and use appliances, so we charge the batteries at the same time. They charge up to full very quickly. I’m so glad we bought them, and we can keep the receipts for our income tax! I’m looking forward to using it on our cruise in December eliminating the need for extension cords.

Good customer service
The battery worked great for approximately 10 months. I use it as an uninterrupted power source as we get power outages a lot leading to me waking up in the middle of the night with my CPAP turning off. One night the battery was not relaying power through to my CPAP, and when i tested it by itself the charge percentages were all over the place / sometimes it would flicker or not turn on. That being said, it worked perfectly up until then. I contacted the company at [email protected] (as per the user manual) and they responded promptly! Since I was within the 1 year warranty, they requested I send back the unit for inspection (they sent a prepaid mailing label for me to print) and after receiving it they promptly sent a new battery! Good customer service, the only reason this review isn't 5 stars is the fact that the battery failed in the first place.
