Toto 9BU024E Tank to Bowl Gasket for Drake Toilet

Flushed one of my toilets one day and water came pouring out from in between the tank and bowl. I knew this was the gasket. It finally failed after over 20 years. The tank must be split from the bowl in order to change this out. At this point I decided to replace everything. With Toto products. There is nothing like original manufacture replacement parts. I did all three of my toilets. "I rebuilt my toilets" Sounds funny!

J'ai 2 toilettes Toto, modèle Pacifica. Toto a remplacé ce modèle par le modèle Drake. Le joint d'origine était fort dégradé. Pressé par le temps, j'ai utilisé un joint autre que celui de Toto. Il est un petit peu plus haut et il a fallu serrer assez fort pour empêcher les fuites entre le réservoir et la cuvette. Présentement, ça tient et ça ne coule pas. Mais j'aurais préféré utiliser le joint Toto. Avec l'eau, on ne touche à rien à moins que ce soit nécessaire. Conclusion: achetez le joint Toto avant de faire vos travaux. J'ai le mien en réserve pour l'autre toilette.

I never thought in my life I would be reviewing a toilet tank gasket but here I am. After completely disassembling my toilet to give it a full overhaul due to a leak I noticed that the original Toto gasket had completely disintegrated over the 12 years it had been on. I don't know if that is a good lifespan or not for a toilet tank gasket but it did its job during that time. I originally went the quick/cheap route and went to HD and purchased a universal fit gasket and low and behold it did not fit. A few choice words later a repeat trip to HD was in the cards. After I calmed down, reason kicked in and I purchased this gasket. I'm glad logic finally won out in the end as it fit well and has been attached for several months with no leaks. So if you have a Toto toilet and are on the fence and have a spare bathroom to keep your toilet disassembled for a couple of days while you wait for it to arrive this may be right for you. In the end going the cheap/quick route ended up costing me more time and frustration than anything.

A fine replacement for TOTO Drake (elongated bowl). Just lay your arm on the lidded tank and turn the wing nuts to tighten evenly. Making SURE the tank sits down evenly on the THREE raised nubs cast into the toilet bowl. The tank should end-up sitting level on the three nubs. After the tank is filled with water and set filled for a couple of days, go back and see if you can tighten the wing nuts a quarter turn (IF the tank rocks at all). Finally the tank should bottom-out on those three bowl nubs insuring a level placement.
