Wasnโt expect a lot from these for the price but I was happy to be wrong. I used these to trim a mtb shifter cable and it cut it like butter, no squishing or flattening out the cable or housing, just a nice clean cut and the crimper worked just as well.

Works as advertised, the cable that I used it for was fine which was a brake cable for a bike and the crimpers for that it came with were handy. This is a very good tool for the price that I bought it for, and would recommend as the building quality is not that bad and cuts cable with ease and not much effort is needed to put in. It fits most cables that I work with so this tool was a worth while investment as well as not taking up much space in my tool box which is perfect. The durability seems to also be good for the amount of time that I have used it for. Seems like solid metal so it should not degrade in a very long time.

Definitely moneys worth and I will rarely use it which will last for my lifetime. Cuts well however, upon observation you should cut with confidence, quick and firm for precision.

We use wire rope cables to string curtains on our patio. These cutters do a good job and they do not leave burrs or straggling strands. They are easy to use, seem very sharp, and they fit my hand well. How long they last is the question that only time will tell. The price is reasonable enough I would not mind replacing them more often if need be.

I'd keep these things tucked away with your on-the-road repair kit, because they cut WAY more than just cables, and if you ever need to cut anything for any reason during bike repairs, these are SHARP and can probably get the job done as long as whatever needs to be cut will fit between the blades. Just watch your fingers!
