These replacement pads look great and are good quality. They were easy to fit and look as good as the originals.Dropping a star because the padding is ever so slightly thinner than the AKG, which means the headphones sit closer to your ears and, for me, can't be worn as long. The other slight issue is that the speaker cover fabric does not have 'R' and 'L' printed on, like the originals. The AKGs don't have 'R' and 'L' printed on the actual headphones. Not a big deal (wire goes to left ear), but worth mentioning.

As with many folks, the k550s pads started to degrade over time. I purchased these pads as replacements.These pads do fit the k550s nicely, and they look good, but their performance is seriously sub par. They do not seal properly and dramatically affect the sound. The k550s were never very lovely headphones to begin with - the sound is pretty AKG-like, neutral/bass-shy. These pads are quite poor overall where it comes to being specifically used with k550s and I'd recommend you try other pads first.Quality seems good and comfort is decent, so if you don't care too much about the sound, then yeah, these will work. Conversely, if you care how your k550s sound, please choose something else.The k550s used to be pleasant, although my daily drivers are k701s and m50s, when I got these pads I stopped using them altogether and that should say something. Looking for alternatives....

These are good replacement pads for the AKG 551. For whatever reasons, they are slightly thinner that the original ones.I broke the yellow stick trying to remove the old pads. So, I manually fit the new ones without the stick.When you're halfway done fitting the pad, just rotate it clockwise and it will automatically fit in place.Not sure about the durability of these replacement pads, given that the original AKG ones wore out disappointingly fast...

Ich habe diese Ersatzmuscheln nun mehrere Monate täglich im Einsatz.Etwas weniger Druck als die originalen, aber immer noch ein guter Tragekomfort. Gefühlt sind sie etwas weicher.Keine Beschriftung der Kopfhörerseite, aber nach einer Zeit mit seinen Kopfhörern, weiss man es meist sowieso.Verglichen mit dem dem Preis für den originalen Ersatz, absolut Spitze.Austausch war mit der Anleitung gut zu bewältigen.- Update vom 14.09.2020 -Nachdem ich mit meinem Kopfhörer an einer Tischkante hängen geblieben bin und zu stark gezogen haben, riss an einer der Muscheln das Polster. Selbstverschuldet also. Ich habe daraufhin noch mal die gleichen Polster bestellt (2.5 Jahre später mit täglichem Einsatz). Die Ersatzteile kamen wieder blitzschnell an. Was ich besonders herausstellen möchte ist, dass selbst nach dieser Zeit, keinerlei Unterschied zu spürten ist zwischen dem einen "alten" polster und dem neuen. Es fühlen sich beide gleich fest an, beeindruckend!Sollte ich noch mal Polster brauchen, werden es auf jeden Fall wieder diese.

Diese Ohrpolster werden als passend für AKG K-551 beschrieben.Das ist leider falsch, sie sind zu klein. Der Versuch, sie auf den K-551 zu bekommen ist mühsam und die Polster halten letztlich nicht. Die originalen Polster lassen sich hingegen ganz mühelos und ohne Werkzeug auf- und runterziehen.
