I cannot recommend this product highly enough!
Solid state drives (SSD's) don't come with "covers" like conventional external drives as an add-ons for storage for your computers / laptops. I have recently cloned my c:drives to solid state drives, mostly for speed. They run cooler and are considerably quicker when opening apps for productivity etc. Additionally they are considerably lighter weight and smaller, again, smaller than but approximately the same size as external USB drives. I decided to buy a couple SSD's for external storage as well. VERY light weight and quick :)~The Orico purchase was to house those SSD's into a similar environment as an external USB drive. The Orico I bought is exceptionally nice to fit your SSD into, slide the case closed over it, attach the SUPPLIED USB 3.0 cord, plug it into your computer and you're good to go. The Orico comes with a supplied user manual in several languages. I STRONGLY urge you to read it prior to use of the case as it has VALUABLE information on how to mount your SSD into the case AS WELL as make which ever SSD drive you've chosen to house, recognizable by your computer(s) / laptop(s).The feel of the Orico case is almost exactly like surgical glove material. It has an indicator light that flickers much the same as your hard drive light showing activity on your computers. When not reading / writing to disk, the light turns a cool blue. I cannot recommend this product highly enough! You won't regret it. It protects your SSD and makes it like an external USB drive. Seriously GREAT value for the price you pay.

Much slower than Inatech FE2002
UPDATEI just bought an Inatech FE2002 enclosure as I like the included switch to turn power on/off. I ran the same CrystalDiskMark benchmark and was surprised to see a significant performance increase, specifically the random read and write at 4KB (Q=32,T=1) with the very same Samsung 840 PRO SSD. I am not going to return the ORICO as I actually prefer its build and feel. But I am just surprised to see such a big difference in performance between the two products.Benchmark results from Inatech FE2002-----------------------------------------------------------------------CrystalDiskMark 5.1.2 x64 (C) 2007-2016 hiyohiyo Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/-----------------------------------------------------------------------* MB/s = 1,000,000 bytes/s [SATA/600 = 600,000,000 bytes/s]* KB = 1000 bytes, KiB = 1024 bytes Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 436.044 MB/s Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 416.642 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 145.410 MB/s [ 35500.5 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 167.523 MB/s [ 40899.2 IOPS] Sequential Read (T= 1) : 407.071 MB/s Sequential Write (T= 1) : 388.030 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 24.078 MB/s [ 5878.4 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 40.482 MB/s [ 9883.3 IOPS] Test : 1024 MiB [E: 0.1% (0.1/238.5 GiB)] (x5) [Interval=5 sec] Date : 2016/04/14 23:38:42 OS : Windows 10 Professional [10.0 Build 10240] (x64)ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW-------------------------------------------While the overall rating for this enclosure is very high, I noticed many were not a verified purchase from Amazon. But I thought for only $9.99 why don't I give it a try and I am glad I did. The enclosure is truly tool free and plug-and-play. I slid open the case, installed a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, and closed the case in less than 30 seconds. Connect the included USB 3.0 cable and that's it. I am using this as an external storage for Xbox One and it works without any issues.I then installed a 256GB Samsung 840 PRO and formatted it to NTFS under Windows 10. System is based on ASUS Z97-A with USB 3.0 Boost set to Turbo mode. I really have nothing negative to say and hope it will last for some time.

Tool-Free and Great Value Case
The ORICO Tool-free 2.5inch SATA case truly is a 'TOOL-FREE' system that is a breeze to set up with either a SSD drive or a 2.5" hard drive. No screws or tools required. Note that some SSD drives come with a thin 1/8" spacer on the bottom. Remove this spacer and the drive will easily slide into the case connectors. Slide the top cover closed, attach the USB3 cable and your ready to store your data. The case has a nice suede type of surface which prevents it from sliding around. Overall, I'm very pleased with this and will be buying a couple more to replace my older 2.5" USB2 cases.

Reliable, fast portable drive enclosure.
I bought a similar product from another vendor/brand - that one did not work with any drive tried, had to send it back for a refund. This one worked right out of the box exactly as I expected it should. No problems at all. Very fast transfer rates with a Toshiba 2.5" 250GB SSD. Also surprisingly fast transfer rates with an old used 2.5" 120GB HDD, and also worked fine with another 250GD HDD.

This is a great 2.5 inch drive SATA enclosure.
I love this case. Looks sharp and my 240 GB SSD drive fits inside perfectly. The lid closes tight and it feels good in the hand. Comes with the USB cable. Operates at 3.0 USB speed but backward compatible with 2.0 USB ports. I have had others but this product is the best and is inexpensive. Highly recommend.

Enclosure disclosure!
So far this has been one of the easiest external HD cases to install I have seen. No screws, thin form factor and compact cord. I loaded it with a 1TB SSD and had it up and running in no time. Suggest an Amazon or other clam shell case to give it a little protection and keep all the parts consolidated.

Looks/feels cheap but it works well.
Lugging this thing everywhere. easy to install the ssd. no tools needed. Kinda loose though and definitely feels cheapish. but if you don't mind how it looks, it works without issue

Good build quality and superb speeds
I am giving this four stars because my drive will sometimes randomly disconnect while in operation. Thankfully, this hasn't happened while doing large file transfers. Overall, the enclosure is good build quality and the speeds are superb with my 1TB 7200RPM drive. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
