Works perfect
Works excellent. Had mine for 4 years and still runs great! Air is cold and a lifesaver for our shop during the summer

Excellent Evaporative Cooler
Awesome Evaporative Cooler. Im Glad I purchased this larger unit. Simple trick is. The cooler the water. The cooler the breeze. Its as simple as that. Great Fan. Easy to operate. Easy to clean. And YES! Only 3 simple controls. It's really that easy. People complain about build quality. Well. The unit is. General is surrounded by water. So minimal metal can be used. But its sturdy enough. As loud as your ordinary household fan. But it WORKS! NICE ball bearing casters that you install with provided screws. Love it.

Behemoth of plastic!
I bought this unit to deal with indoor high heat during heat waves in Northern California. Yesterday I unpacked it and set it up. No hardware was included with the castors - no problem, I have some screws and a tiny screwdriver. Filled up the tank - it is very large and a lot of waters goes in before there is any movement on the gauge. Once filled, I plugged it and turned it on. Pump worked, fan did not work. No problem, there is a small trouble shooting manual that comes with the unit. Unscrewed the back, removed the filters, found the obstruction that was blocking the fan, put unit back together. The working fan blows out a lot of lovely cool air. With a lot of noise. On the first try, the unit lowered the temp in the area I was cooling from 88 to 81 quite quickly. I'll continue to experiment with it in different areas to see what it can do. It is easy to see why it is called a swamp cooler - there is a definite swampy feel to the air in enclosed space (other than the open window behind the unit). The space I am cooling is quite large and has high ceilings, so the drop in temperature was pretty good, and it was fast. I have yet to figure out if its worth the price tag.

Easy breezy
Far West Texas heat. Finally took the plunge and purchased the large Hessaire swamp cooler. Amazing for my pergola/bar/grilling area. Granted, we’ve had some cooler weather here of late (mid 90s), but this AC coupled with my misters keeps the pergola area very nice. Currently grilling and feeling no heat come off the grill. This unit was very easy to put together. Five minutes tops. Fill, plug in and you’re set. I do have the smaller Honeywell AC unit. The Honeywell’s highest setting is the Hessaire’s lowest. I’ll keep both units for those 105+ degree days, but truly, more often than not I’ll only need the Hessaire.

Oh my god, YES.
Working in the heat? Is it dry? Because if so, this is the solution for you! This thing works great. I use it in an automotive shop where summer temperatures routinely break 110 this thing will cool the air 25 degrees no problem, given low humidity. On low it’s barely noticeable from a few feet away, on high it makes some noise but it MOVES SOME AIR! It’s the perfect size to roll around, the tank will last 4-5 hours. The oscillation feature is nice for covering a large area. 5/5 stars, can’t recommend enough

Poor quality, returned after fussing with it for two days on two separate failure points...
Arrived intact, but missing some cosmetic parts. Initial problem was that it leaked when the garden hose attachment was installed, and water turned-on at 55psi (10psi) under the max. Hessaire Support told me to reduce the water pressure until it quit leaking(?). I did, and at 10psi it did indeed stop leaking. However, once it filled the tank, the float-valve failed to stop the water flow, and the tank over-filled. After messing with it for a day, I elected to just return the unit. It's too bad, as when I had it running, it kept my garage work-area at ~72f on a 105f day. I suspect these units have material reliability issues.

Comfortable when working in airflow
Colorado. 100 degree 18% humidity, insulated garage (approximately 900 sq ft) push cooler up to sliding window screen door. Window opened enough to allow air to flow in thru screen. Vented to attic . ( hot enough and well ventilated to dry out any humid air from cooler through daylight ) Started at 84 degrees in garage after 3 hours down to 79 . Have started early in morning on 95 outside high and been able to cool it down to 73 . About 65% humidity. I can work about 10 feet away from cooler and it feels comfortable to work . Also can supplement with another fan it the air path to push the air farther, air measured at outlet at 71 degrees on 100 degree 18 % humidity day. Great cooler makes garage work bearable in dry climates. Have used with up to 50% humidity low 90’s and if in air path still fairly comfortable. Recommend.

Fantastic value for the money
Great design overall! This is one of my favorite new purchases in years. I use a hand truck to wheel it over my lawn to my back workshop. Works great in Utah's dry air! I've also used it for patio parties and for keeping cool while changing my oil. I even loaded it into the back of my 4runner and took it to St. George for a family party. It was a hit! I did add some strain relief to the garden hose connection using a 1/2" F barbed funny pipe elbow, a length of funny pipe running vertically to the top of the unit, a couple of 8" zip ties to hold the funny pipe to the electrical cord winding post, and a 1/4" M barbed funny pipe elbow. Version 2.0 would be nice to have that built in. It would also be nice to have some handles on the sides for when you're wheeling+lifting a full unit over raised cracks in concrete - as it is now I have to grab the plastic grill on the side and I'm worried I'll break it. Neither is a deal killer. This thing has made it possible for me to work in my shop all summer, not just spring and fall, and for that I cannot be more grateful!!

Hmmm… bought this for my warehouse to cool our machinery and people
I probably wouldn’t purchase this again as we have to keep adding water and the spot is so small it takes too long and have to fill it too often. It interrupts production. We ended up getting a small hose so we could just turn on the tap to fill it but it wasn’t a great solution. Someone forgot they were filling it and left the trap running which flooded the area. We had high hopes but it didn’t work very well for us. 🙁
