Great!
These are amazing. I have never been this much happy with my training shoes before. They are great for weight training but I haven't tried it yet for running.

Great minimal shoes to understand if it works for you
The shoes are really comfortable and felt good from the beginning. I train with them mostly in door but it felt great to run with the outside.

At first I thought they were too small
I toe-strike when I run (I'm told it looks a little funny to see a 6'5" 300 lb guy run that way, but dang it, it's the only way to save my knees), and I've toyed with the idea of barefoot running shoes for a long time. But years ago the 'expert' at a shoe store told me to get Asics Gel Cumulus, so that's what I did.But this last week, when I realized that my latest pair or Cumulus were so worn down they had gone from running shoes to running slippers, I decided to give in and buy some barefoot shoes. I'm glad I did! When I first tried them on they felt as though they might be too tight and too short. My big toe barely brushed the front of the toe box and it looked as though my monster-feet were stretching the sides a bit. Both things I've found are bad news during a long run. So I packaged them up and got set to return them. But then I woke up this morning and NEEDED to go for a run. I didn't want to wear my old running shoes (they've been making my feet a bit sore lately), so I said 'Screw it. I'll try the (checks the brand name to see what I bought) Whitin shoes." After all, if I didn't like them I was only out thirty-something bucks. Now, I can't say how they will hold up long-term, but this morning's five miles was some of the most fun I've had running in a long time. Turns out there was no problem with either my toe on the front of the shoe or in the width. It seemed the shoes just needed to stretch for a few minutes, then it felt like I'd worn them for years.

bad choice for trail shoes...or any shoe....first time Whittin let me down
^^^^UPDATE...June 9, 2022something made me wonder why the left shoe strap stayed fastened while the right one didn't. i compared them and the left strap is longer than the right strap. the left strap reaches most of the velcro it needs to shut the shoe. the right strap only meets the velcro for under and inch. what i thought was fraying was a loose thread that i pulled out. i could have lived with them if the straps were the same size.FIRST, when i put them on i realized they didn't have laces but some weird tying system which uses nylon chord, a plastic tightener that does not work AND two pieces of velcro. LOOK AT THE LACES on the listing. i wore shoes for 62 years and sold them for three years and never saw anything as stupid. i had trouble getting the strap to stick to the upper because they only provide about a half inch area for velcro to meet.SECOND, velcro doesn't work when it gathers 'fuzz' and foreign materials. velcro will catch even more debris when it is on a shoe since they kick up what is on the floor/ground. i only wore them six times but everytime i did, i had to readjust the right side. i wondered how long the velcro will last if it so troublesome when new. the last time i put the shoes on, i noticed the right shoe strap is fraying on the edges and pieces of loose fabric are falling off it. i took them off and returned them. i hope i can find a similar shoe that ties. i didn't notice the idiot tie system but would have put up with it if they worked. i am glad the strap frayed or else i may have worn them a few more time before the velcro wore out and been stuck with useless shoes. if you are able to tie your own shoes, velcro is stupid.THIRD, if you want a TRAILRUNNER you do not want these. i wore them walking on the street and i could feel every tiny pebble or twig i stepped on. TRAILS are often rocky and your trail better be on a beach or else you will be in pain at the end of your hike.i wanted a shoe just for walking and saw these 'trailrunners'.FYI - this was my third pair of WHITTIN shoes. i do like the brand. i guess i would have noticed the velcro/plastic tie/chord foolishness but since i liked the others, i just saw they were supposedly for cross training and ordered without looking. However, the strap should not start to fall apart after wearing them about 5-6 times in less than two weeks.
