Great product. I tried all home hair color brands, even those that claim no or little ammonia, and all of them were either too harsh, smelled like I had and tear gas bomb explosion in my house, and would eventually come off faster than expected. I used to be a blond, and last year tried to return to my natural ash blond color. But living in Florida makes an impact, couple weeks after dyeing the hair, they would dramatically burn out to the shade I had before. Combined with the new root growth and partial gray hay it would look terrible like I completely abandoned my hair routine and do not care how I look. So I was on a search for a true ammonia free hair dye, gentle to the scalp (since I also earned a scalp psoriasis in recent years), and the one that would endure the Florida sun as well as cover gray. I am happy to say, that Herbatint passed all the tests. I was hesitant about it but was more willing to try it than to torture myself with another ammonia monster. I chose the shade 7N, cool ash blond, even though it looked kind of dark on a package, next color in line was obviously too light. It is easy to mix and follow the instructions. The best part, that it doesn't smell and won't irritate the skin or eyes. I followed the timing precisely. The color I got initially wasn't exactly as expected, it had a strong charcoal gray tint, kind of unnatural in my opinion, but I am probably too picky since my BF commented on how natural and nice my hair looked. I learned before, that very often the color can come out totally different from what was expected, so I proceeded with dyeing on the first day of a long holiday weekend. In three days, washing hair daily, the color settled to a more or less real shade of ash blond, in the following week it acquired a sun-kissed caramel tone and stayed the same in the next month. The gray hair was covered completely, so as my blond locks. Despite being completely natural, the result proved it's potency and effectiveness. I would highly recommend Herbatint and will definitely stick with it myself.
