Lake Placid Starglide Girl's Double Runner Figure Ice Skate

Arrived quickly, great packaging, mint condition. As far as the actual product, my kids love it. This is the second pair I am ordering. Hope you know that you are ordering double bladed ice skates. So what if this gives your novice ice skater a false sense of accomplishment. At least my kids are skating around with ease while the other kids are using buckets or falling all over the place. They can keep up with adults at a beginner level. If you decide your kid is going to purse ice skating and needs better form well you can deal with it later. This is a great way to get your 4-6 year old kid up and having fun. Instead of getting disheartened because they can't stand on skates and want to quit early after you paid $15 each for you and her to enter a resort skating rink. As far as fit, the soft material is very forgiving instead of the tight leather or plastic of the rentals. No blisters.

I bought these for my daughter before she turned 4 because she was just starting out on skates and I didn't want to spend a tremendous amount of money before I knew if she'd like skating. First, in case it's not clear to everyone (it wasn't initially clear to me), these are DOUBLE blades - not single blades like "normal" ice skates are. So they're a great little crutch for when your child is first starting out. Just don't keep your child in them for more than a few weeks because then it becomes harder to adjust to real skates. They're cheap enough that it's worth it to buy them for a few uses - just realize that if you want to have your child truly learn how to skate these aren't a permanent solution.

Great transaction. Not sure I would use them due to reviews about not being easy to transition to single blade skates. Maybe for the very young beginner skaters.

My daughter wanted pink ice skates for her first pair, so we selected these. They are sturdy and well-made and much more comfortable than rental skates. The blades are plastic and double-bladed, so my daughter doesn't go as fast as she did on the metal, single-blade rental skates, but she doesn't seem to mind, since she is still learning.

It has double blades and the blades are far way , it is not very useful for the beginners to get a sense of skating. I would not to buy this one. I returned it after I opened it

I bought it because I read the previous reviews. The skates arrived super fast but the first thing I noticed when I unpacked them was the fact that the double blades are fake and blunt. Although they are very cute, the skates do not glide as a the real ones and do not provide the much needed ankle support. My daughter could not stay still in these skates because it made her legs slide open to the sides, she barely made to the end of her ice skating class. Her instructor was also surprised with such poor performance and she asked me to go back to the rental ones or buy the white leather skates for her. So, the skates were used only once and are already retired! Don't waste your money like I did.
