After only a few months the paint started coming off. It was just mounted stationary, no movement.

I have owned several of these over the years. The great price allows me to stock up on them as I will replace them when they become too dirty/cloudy and/or if they crack due to frozen precipitation (2nd pic -- my fault, I should have emptied it). I keep buying them because I don't have to re-configure the mounting. They are easy to read and reasonably accurate (compared to Weather Underground stations in my neighborhood).

I can’t really speak for the accuracy just yet as it is still 10 below here. But upon opening it up and looking at it I can see that the numbers are nice and big. Easy to read. Looking forward to some spring rains to test it. It does feel nice and sturdy. I’m sure it will be able to withstand our prairie winds.
