This serum is lightening the dark spot in my skin. Highly recommended for this purpose.

Light serum, moisturizing & non-irritating, but ingredients not shown + very pricey...
I ordered the Hydra Max serum from CellSkinLab which is part of their "moisturize" collection (the other two collections are "prevent" and "correct". Right up front, I will say that at $59.99 for only 0.5 ounces, this product is considerably out of my price range and I would have to be very impressed to buy it. Unfortunately for me, it is very nice and I do like using it so it will come down to whether or not it is any more effective than other skin care products I have been using. I am annoyed about the lack of a full ingredient list in the product description. I was a bit surprised not to find it on the brand's website, either -- just the key active ingredients are highlighted. I took a picture of the back of the bottle showing the ingredients. The serum is a lovely light purple in color and is neither thin and watery nor thick and syrupy. It sounds silly to say, but it fits right in between the two extremes and is about what I would expect for a high quality serum. It goes on easily and is absorbed quickly, leaving no trace of oil or sheen. It does help provide moisture to my very dry, dehydrated and rough skin. My skin is also quite sensitive and this causes no irritation. However, I have any number of other serums that do this as well and cost less. The serum is packaged in a small clear glass bottle and has a dropper delivery mechanism, which allows me to get just the right amount. Since this is so pricey, I am a bit more careful than usual to use no more than the suggested amount (about 4 drops per application). In addition to the key ingredients (Oryza sativa extract [aka rice extract], Niacinamide, Hyaluronic acid, Mandelic acid and Salicylic acid), the serum also contains glycerin and phenoxyethanol. The serum is made in the USA and arrived boxed and properly sealed. I'll enjoy using this, but unless this happens to go on sale, I doubt if I will be re-purchasing.

Effective serum.
I decided to try this serum for my dark spots, blotchiness, and the fine lines appearing near my mouth. So far I have no complaints (except the lack of transparency about the ingredients). This serum is very thick, bright red, but goes on clear. It's helping my dry winter skin stay hydrated, and my face hasn't been flaky like it usually is when I have space heaters running around the house at this time of year. This serum doesn't cause my skin any irritation, and it works well with my skin care routine. I use this on cleaned skin, after eye cream, and let it dry before applying a deeply hydrating oil and shea butter blend. I really like that it doesn't have a strong fragrance, and what light smell it does have quickly dissipates. It has not caused me to break out, and keeps down the acne that I get around my monthly cycle. I always get a few stubborn, large and irritating pimples near my mouth or on my chin at that time, but not since I've been using this serum daily. My skin tone has been clearing since before I started using this serum, but it is helping to keep my skin from getting blotchy and is evening out the last of my hyper-pigmentation. I have sun damaged skin from working outdoors (plus sweating off any sunblock in a short amount of time), and anything to help correct the uneven areas of darker skin on my face is a welcome addition to my skin care routine. My face is going back to the "blushing doll" look that I missed having, and getting rid of the "roughed-up workhorse" that it was quickly becoming, lol.I'm quite happy with having this serum as part of my skin care regimen, and the results of a few weeks' use are already quite positive.Peptivel Boost B12 by CellSkinLab - Topical Skin Booster & Nutritive Serum for Fatigue Skin and Dry Skin with Retinol, Peptides and Vitamin B12 - 0.5 fl Oz

Very hydrating
I've been using this Hydra Max serum in conjunction with a whole skincare regimen and I do see improvements to my skin. I use this serum about every other day either in the morning or at night. What I do is wash my face, apply a moisturizing toner, and then I apply this serum. I let it sit for 10-15 minutes to better soak into my skin and then I apply a night moisturizer. This is my new routine I've been doing for about 3 weeks, whereas prior to that I only ever washed my face and used a light moisturizer sometimes. I've noticed that I started getting dark spots on my cheeks and red spots from sun exposure/age. My sun spots and red spots have lightened minimally but I think prolonged use will help. I'm also combining this with retinol at night a couple times a week because niacinimide is really beneficial to use with retinol as it retinol can be kind of harsh, and the moisturizing power of niacinimide is supposed to help. My skin does feel firmer and a lot softer. I think in general I'm taking care of it alot more, but I think the moisture can do wonders for little spots on the face. I don't love the feeling of any serums, and this is similar, its kind of goopy, like a very light aloe vera. But it does feel really nice on the skin. It's .5 oz which is small, but I expect this to last me months, if not a year. The amount you apply to your face is really small, just 4-5 drops. I wouldnt use this as a primary moisturizer, it's meant as kind of a bonus treatment for your skin. Kind of like how you wouldn't use a hair mask every day, but maybe a couple times a week to boost. Although I'm sure daily use might quicken results, but it feels like too much for me. The cost is expensive but I think of it more long term use, over a year that $60 spread out isn't as bad.
