This caulking is fantastic for baseboards and around interior windows. It dries quickly, the flow is consistent, clean up as easy, does not have an odor, and provides an excellent, smooth seal that is a paintable. It is pretty durable when used in indoors as intended. This is not for outdoor use or for wet areas, such as around sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, etc. But for baseboards, door trims, window trims, etc., this product is fantastic and also one of the most affordable options you could buy. TIP: Use a razor blade to cut the tip at an angle, which makes it perfect for applying between the baseboard and the wall, and there is very, very little excess. If you use the puncture tool on the caulking gun, you will have much more access which results in wasted product. Also, your caulk line will be much thicker and go on with less precision than if you use a razor blade and cut the tip at an angle..

I’ve used DAP Alex Plus for years, and it never disappoints. This caulk is perfect for sealing gaps around windows, doors, baseboards, and trim. Reliable and easy to use. Fits any standard caulk gun and goes on smoothly. Dries quickly and typically does not crack. Easy to paint once fully cured. Also works well to seal along the edge of painters tape to get crisp lines. Excellent price here on Amazon.

Excellent price for a 40 year caulk. Not really sure if it would hold up for 40 years but it does hold up well. I have used DAP forever and will continue to use it but just wanted to offer a slight warning. I kind of think these might have been sitting around for awhile in a non climate controlled area. Still worked out great but i noticed the vert tine dried pieces mixed in. You don't see them with every squeeze but they are there. I also had a bit of hardened caulk around the plunger. Not a big deal and not worth returning but if you are picky you might want to take a look inside the tube around the plunger. If you see dried caulk, than expect this minor issue. Otherwise its a great product that i will continue to use and recommend.

This is my second order! It goes on smoothly. It is easy to glide on. No odor. Can easily wipe off when wet. Easy to paint over as well!

I am using this product to repair my deck. Wood that has rotted out is removed and I use this product to fill in the holes. So far it is working well.
