Item OK Amazon rip off
I just received my 6 bags of Flax seed that I ordered. I have nothing to say against the item itself or shipping but why is it that all the prices were pulled off on every bag? Is it because rip off Amazon is charging waaaaaay more for canadians than what it's being sold in the states? This is not my first purchase at Amazon and lately I've noticed more and more rip off no exchange no service from Amazon therefore that's it I've had it. I'll get my stuff somewhere else and yup I just discovered that I paid more than twice the price in canadian fund talk about a rip off. You can get it way cheaper at IHerb even with the exchange and customs

Tastes very fresh. Best ground flax I've tried.
I've bought other brands of ground flax seeds and they all had a fishy odor and flavor to me...so that strong taste often prevented me from using very much of it and I determined that all varieties of flax seeds must taste the same. I like that this particular ground flax is very sweet tasting...Not sweet like sugar, but pleasant and appealing compared to the intense flavors of the other brands I've tried...And I have been buying ground organic flax seeds, trying different brands and I didn't like any of them. I tried grinding my own flax but found it annoying and time consuming...and rather messy. Based simply on comparative prices, this time I bought Garden of Life's flax...It seemed reasonable and I generally like to make flax eggs for baking and also a portion of my dry mixture used to make muffins or pancakes contains more fiber when I add 1/4 cup of ground flax . What I especially like about Garden of Life ground flax is that the seeds are finely ground to a very light powder. Nothing chewy or flax-y tasting whatsoever. I've started making flax crackers, using nothing but ground flax, seasoned with various herbs like garlic powder, sea salt, oregano, or Italian spices *mix well...and then added about 1/2 cup of water to the 1 cup of flax...When I mixed the water into the flax, it's a thick "dough" which resembles the texture of a chocolate chip cookie batter...(maybe a little thicker) but it should hold together well and shouldn't be crumbly....Then I press the entire mixture into an 8x8 baking pan. Getting it evenly because you want all the crackers to be the same thickness....Thinner crackers require a slightly larger pan...Too thin and they'll burn when baking. Preheat the oven to 400 ....score the pan of flattened out flax mixture into about 16 squares ...and bake...I bake for about 20 minutes, flip over the whole mixture with a flat pancake turner..(check to make sure nothing is burning)...let it bake another few minutes and lower temp if you see it's baking too fast...THEN...turn off the oven and let the crackers get dry while sitting there as the oven cools down. If still baking too fast, take the pan out of the oven until the temperature gets lower in the oven.....Takes a few hours until they become crackers rather than soft moist pieces you can still bend. My oven has a convention setting...the air dries them out quicker.. They can also be baked in an air fryer...a toaster oven...just as long you keep an eye on them. When cool, I put them in a baggie and put it in my freezer so I don't eat the whole batch...Too much fiber if you try do that.. I also recommend drinking more fluid when you eat a lot of flax seeds...You want regularity, not a blob sitting in your intestines, gumming them up... I will definitely keep buying this brand...It's reasonable and I like the flavor.
