It captured my imagination as soon as I started reading it! It is so funny and also touching. The characters are amazing and I loved every one of them!It also makes you think of the elderly people in care homes and how a lot of them don’t have families around. They may just be in a chair, not doing anything, but they were young once, they had some amazing stories to tell and Sadie is one of them! It’s a beautiful story and found myself crying towards the end! I love how Sophie Kinsella can write such lovely novels! Although some of them aren’t my favourite, I still think she’s very talented!

Not for me!
Thought I would give Sophie Kinsella a go as had heard of her on a TV quiz show. Not for me at all! Didn't get much past the first 50 of so pages and didn't find it the least bit funny. Ridiculous more like. Everything is so over the top and quite impossible to imagine any sane person behaving the way these characters do. Didn't waste any more time with it, one for the charity shop! Won't be reading any more from this author, not a patch on someone like Liane Moriarty - now she's an author that can combine humour with a really great story!

Sophie's best book yet
I have enjoyed all Sophie Kinsella's books but this one stands above the others. The story revolves around Lara, who is struggling to understand why her boyfriend, Josh, split up with her. She's also trying to cope with a failing headhunting business after her supposed friend and partner disappeared on holiday to Goa. In the midst of this confusion, Lara attends the funeral of her great aunt Sadie, a woman she barely knew. However, it looks like Sadie isn't really ready to move on and her ghost begins to spend rather a lot of time with Lara in the form of her twenty-something flapper former self. Sadie is obsessed with finding a particular necklace and ropes Lara into helping her. Along the way, she is rather distracted by a handsome man that she likes the look of and wants to date- something of a problem when you're a ghost, invisible to everyone except your great-niece.I really enjoyed the humour in this book, mainly stemming from Sadie's outrageous behaviour, and I laughed out loud many times. However, the story of Sadie's necklace evolves into something more than just a family mystery and her attempts to date a total stranger change Lara's life as well. I found the last 50-60 pages of the book extremely satisfying and very moving in an unexpected way and I shed quite a few tears.I highly recommend this book.NB// The Kindle version of this book is well-formatted and without errors :)

FannnnnnnnTassstiiiicccc !
This book, I brought for £1.40 used from Amazon. What can I say, the book was a page turner and I think Sophie Kinsella has definately wrote a fantastic novel here. If you want a humourous and funny chick lit, then this book is your new read for the winter. I can't believe I didn't find this book sooner.I have read many books that are chick lit and I am always looking for a book thats slightly mad and funny. Like other people have said, don't think because its about some made up ghost that its rubbish. That is where you will be wrong. This book has a fantastic storyline and I love Lara and Aunt Sadies character, whether she be in Laras imagination all along or not. She is absolutely funny and the fact that Lara finds a fantastic man of her dreams in the story through Sadie is hilarious. Dressing up as a 1920's flapper so that you can go on a date for your dead Aunt ?! Hilarious, you have to read it to understand.Buy this & you will have a giggle all along, some parts I even read out to my boyfriend because they was so funny !!Go on have a giggle....

Good fun and very different
After reading a lot of crime and thrillers recently, I decided to have some light relief and read this book which was recommended to me by a friend. It's absolutely brilliant, laugh out loud funny at times, and very sad at others. Our heroine, Lara, is just one of the funniest characters I have come across and has a heart of gold. Her great aunt, Sadie, is the ghost who is her guardian angel at times, and extremely annoying to Lara at others. The story races along with Lara trying to reunite Sadie with her necklace before she is cremated. Other revelations come to light along the way and, of course, the romance side of it too is hilarious at times.I thoroughly enjoyed this and, as its my first Sophie Kinsella book, I can honestly say it will not be my last.Good, enjoyable fun.Highly recommended.
