85amps to each 1000watt amplifier is plenty..... you want 14.4 volts steady.... i would start with a capacitor before this?? Is someone messing with me??? i am the only one that gets this... besides the man asking the question???? why is it wired for a full OHM? It should be fine at a half OHM!!

Most boats will have a battery selector switch.  #1 battery, #2 battery, Both batteries.  If you do not have a selector switch this can be used to charge both batteries while the engine runs, but with the engine off you can draw down one (stereo, trolling motor, etc.) while still not affecting your ability to start with the other battery.  How the batteries are wired (in parallel) will determine how your system operates.  To use this relay you need to split the system, for example 1 house battery, 1 starting battery.  The manual switch will still give you more control over your system, if you remember to use it.

There is no question mark here so there is no answer...only questions.  The device is a relay, the 12-volt coil is the only constant heat producer and, if energized by 12-volts, should not generate much heat.  The capacity, 80-amps, is a maximum for the relay contacts and connections, exceeding it or maintaining it constantly might generate some heat.  If the device is mounted near the engine, or in the sun, it could be warm from the environment.  What is "hot."  Are all the connections tight?  Is the load near the maximum 80-amps?  Is the coil seeing more than 12-volts?  Are the wires involved in the 80-amp circuit gauged large enough to handle the current?  And, you may have a faulty device.

Will this allow the alternator to charge main and auxilary battery while car is on ??

Yes.  Properly installed the device separates the main battery from the auxiliary battery when the engine is off.  When on, both batteries are charged.
