The bracket itself is kind of flimsy. I ended up using the NMO base and connector in a roof mount setup. They are very well made, cable is decent. I got a 1.3:1 SWR from it. I can hit repeaters 20 miles away on 5 watts with this 1/4 wave on 2m. For 40 bucks it's a solid antenna.

Lmao to the guy who said he thought it would work on a CB radio. First off it's dual band HAM radio radio, says it in the description, CB radio band is way different than what this supports. The SWR was a little high out of the box but with some tuning of the hex screws and a little trim off the bottom, I got it right where I need it. Great, sturdy NMO antenna.

How to even begin!
I just don’t have words to convey just how perplexed I am about this NMO antenna setup.How can the antenna base be attached to mount..? The “L” bracket is cheap thin stainless..the coax is attached to brass NMO bottom do you can’t remove the coax (There’s a wee bit of solder securing the coax) this setup is just..wrong. No instructions.,!Instructions….wouldn’t help anyways. There’s just no possible way to install L bracket..secure coax to L bracket..HOW?? You can’t!As stated..I’m very perplexed on why this antenna setup is even being allowed to be sold.I’ve already started the return process snd I received this item less than snd hour ago.Good Luck!
