The horse, hoofs, and the tail/mane are made from separate material pieces, All are are sewn INTO the horse. Hoofs are like a velvet material, the horse material is longer, the tail/mane even longer. Hope this answers your question satisfactory.

Yes, very soft. Not at all rough.

It is flexible & supple. The stuffing is plush not beans. My granddaughter loved it
