DC Collectibles DC Comics Cover Girls Supergirl Statue

This is a lovely piece and well painted, sculpted and packaged. The attention to detail is good and the finish is very impressive. A good piece and good price

This is a solid piece. Unfortunately, we have superior promotional photos and other statues in this series to compare it to. First, her face sculpt is nothing like the photo. The photo shows Kara with a cute, healthy visage. The actual statue has a gaunt, anorexic face sculpt that isn't really "cute" or strong. I love her pose, but, her head is tilted downward more than the photo depicts as well. I own Batwoman and Batgirl, and their fine detail and paint make Supergirl look cheap standing next to them. I wish they put the same attention to detail in her design that they did in the other two. Don't get me wrong: I'm glad I have her- I just wish she was as impressive as Katherine and Barbara. The armor lines in Batgirl's statue show us what the muted lines in Kara's suit should look like. The shimmering paint on Batwoman and Batgirl give us an idea of the type of paints that COULD HAVE BEEN used on Supergirl. Barbara Gordon's beautiful face sculpt teases what COULD HAVE BEEN for Kara Zor'El. The acutely detailed gloves of the other girls makes Kara's simple detailed fists look like toys. I'm giving this statue 4 stars because it is a quality collectible. Unfortunately, next to the other pieces in this line, it doesn't "stand up".

This is one of my favorite statues (so far) in the DC cover girl series based on Artgerms art. She looks so elegant with her pose and how she sits on the base of the statue so that it looks as though she is hovering is done extremely well. The sculpt and paint job are nicely done. Great sculpt for the price

This was about the 3rd Cover Girls Statue that i purchased and let me say its the one I enjoy seeing the most. the pose gives it life because it captures that mid flight sequence. Super Girls hair and cape both have flow that makes it look like air is really passing through them. The assembly was simple its just the base and then you place super girl on the base, and it stand just about 10"-the only negative thing is that the peg on the foot doesn't seem to go all the way in, but from reading online it seems to be a problem on a lot of them and it doesn't make my own statue unstable so i don't really care that much about it.

I've spent quite a while considering this review, and unfortunately I've concluded that I don't like this figure. The pose is attractive, but the proportions of the upper body are unnatural. Specifically, the arms are flattened instead of rounded and the neck is excessively elongated. When viewed from the front this is not that evident, but from the side it is obvious. If the sculptor intended to replicate the odd proportions of so much comic art, I suppose he succeeded, but it's not what I like. Also, as others have stated, the facial appearance differs significantly from the picture, and not in a good way. On the other hand, the finish on my figure is clean and precise, and it is well constructed. I understand why there is such a divergence of opinion on this figure. Some may love this style; others like myself not so much.

Having purchased the Batgirl and Wonder Woman statues in this series and being very happy with both, this one was a major disappointment. The paint job was terrible. The sculpt of the face and hair very unrealistic and unappealing. I was so unhappy with this product that I returned it.

My only complaint on this statue is how far back she leans, I don't understand it, I think if her torso was a bit straighter i'd like it more. Definitely can tell on her left thigh that her legs were separate pieces and put together.

Sculpt on the face, but good overall.
