Buy this. Worth every penny

Buyers beware—I recently purchased this white noise maker based on the 'steller' reviews and the item being 'Amazon's choice' product. However, after I received it, it has flimsy power adapter, the number of white noises is super limited, and my baby disliked it. To my surprise, the item is NOT eligible for return—I don't know why. There's really no reason for me to keep an expensive white noise maker that doesn't work. I'm super disappointed and wish I was notified of the return policy before I checked out!

Without a doubt the best white noise machine. I bought and returned the other styles on Amazon before getting this one (because it seemed a bit expensive) it is worth every penny.I learned that true "white" noise is actually quite irritating and unsettling to me. Lectrofan has lots of very nice options for more soothing noise tones. The fan options are also great. Very consistent and never changes tone.I use it to isolate noise from roommates in the night and it does an amazing job preventing disruptions.If you are thinking about a noise machine, I strongly recommend trying Lectrofan first. Very well engineered product!-very compact-looks really nice-great build quality-runs on usb-remembers all settings on power loss (so you can use it with a timer)-large volume range-diverse set of noise and fan options

This sound machine has literally changed my life. The sleep with this machine is like nothing I have ever experienced. Our neighbor likes to spend his mornings shoveling gravel on a cement surface with a metal shovel about 4-5 feet from my window (like 6 am early) and to be honest I was starting to have some pretty dangerous thoughts about stealing his shovel, breaking his arms, burning his house down.... One goes down some pretty dark paths when they suffer from insomnia already and then when they finally fall asleep get woken up with a shovel scrapping down a sidewalk. Okay so the machine somehow COMPLETELY covers the noise from the shovel, the toilet flushing next to my room, dogs barking etc. It is incredible. There are a plethora of choices concerning volume and intensity of sound. Highly recommend.

I bought this based on positive reviews, but I am disappointed. I have a fan on in my room, but it's not quite loud enough to block out the noise of dogs that live above me. So I thought I would use this as well. I went through all 10 fan settings, trying them for several minutes, but couldn't stand them. You could either hear the 'whop whop whop' noise of the blades, or there was a frustrating tone in the background. On the plus side, it did help block out noise, but only by replacing it with something worse. Will likely return it.*Update: item cannot be returned. I don't understand why. The sound is poor quality, I tried to return it - well within the acceptable time frame - but it said I could not return it. What a waste of money.

My daughter that suffers from mental health issues, including anxiety, can have a lot of trouble sleeping, this has been like a magic button, for helping her sleep. It has helped her get calm during a panic attack! It works in so many ways!. People use it in rooms and offices where they wish to block out sounds, for privacy, or make your office 'not so quiet', when you have appointments in and don't want the uncomfortable stomach growls that can happen. If your trying to work and don't want to be disturbed it dulls out outside noises! Nosey Mother in law visiting, 'still want to talk', in privacy, have this at your doorway, she won't hear anything but muffle: Therapists use this for private sessions while people are in the waiting room! Very important device! Works great, much better than expected!
