Inexpensive, just as described, arrived on time. Haven’t given it a really heavy fish workout yet, but did get hung up a couple times and put some pretty good pressure on it without complaint or failure .

It is what it is. I was expecting it to be alittle easier to collapse but I just keep it fully extended now. It’s not terrible for the price, I mean it’s cheap. But it works and works fine in a pinch or as a dummy rod. If it were easier to collapse I’d give it another star but when it is collapsed it is compact and is easy to keep. And would be good for single uses as long as you collapse it and clean it after using.

So I’ve had this rod for almost a year (10 months) I really liked it at first, it has a lot of strength and I’ve brought in some large fish. But at this point in its life, the guides are starting to rust and break. So my review is based on saltwater fishing which it’s not apparently good for that since the parts aren’t stainless. If I was fishing fresh, maybe it would be a higher rating but long term, it’s not going to hold up, otherwise I liked the rod and it worked really well for a collapsing rod.
