This mat MELTED on our electric stove top. Ruined the new cooktop. I cannot remove melted mat residue from the glass. See pictures. Do not buy it. It cannot handle high temperatures that it describes. I have been busy, but I went to return today and the return window has closed. Waste of money and ruined the stove. Hope I can find a way to clean it off.

My Cuisinart Griddler is one of the oldest pieces I have in my kitchen. The grill plates lost their non-stick usefulness years ago and I couldn't justify paying 40 plus dollars for a grill plate replacement when buying a new unit would have been pretty much the same cost. Neither could I buy a whole new unit when the one I have is basically still usable. I resorted to using non-stick aluminum foil and it worked for me except for the constant foil replacement factor. But in browsing Amazon, I ran across this item and thought I'd try it. I cut out a cardboard template of the Griddler plates and then used the template to cut out the Cherainti liner and it worked! My Griddler has been revived! I am stunned into writing this review!

Someone suggested using this material in between an induction cooktop and the pot used for cooking. What a time saver for clean up! Much easier to wipe off the liner in the sink than to get smudges off the cooktop. But note—from my experience— be sure to cut the oven liner extra long or wide (I overlap pieces), or some splattering will still end up on the cooktop or neighboring surfaces. I have followed the caveats to not heat the burner too high with this material, but it handles things quite hot enough for most purposes. The main inconvenience is pulling the liner out each time I cook... but I knew that before the purchase.

I bought this as a replacement for the old silicone liner I had been using for over three years on the bottom of my toaster oven and regular electric oven. I cut it out to the same sizes as the old ones and put it in the same appliances.The first time I turned on my oven with this liner, it started smoking so much, so quickly, that it set off my smoke alarm (!), even with the oven door shut. I had the oven set to 400°, and this was supposed to tolerate temps up to 500°. I immediately turned off the oven and went to pull this liner out, but it was red hot (no it was NOT touching any heating coil, and there were no drippings on the oven bottom). I used a potholder to get it out of the oven, then opened all my doors and windows to get rid of the smoke so the fire alarm would stop.I don't know what the trouble with this liner is, but I'm not doing any more tries to find out. I threw it away and am going back to my old brand.

I am an artist and I was looking for something that I could use to work on top of that was easier to work with than the silicon mats that are all the rage. This product worked perfectly. I will be reviewing it in the future on my YouTube channel. I also used it to create the mountains in my picture by cutting it into a stencil. And my heat gun doesn't damage it. Love it and will order again.
