How do I attach the photos?

I use photo corners, which enable me to remove the photos if need be. You can also use photo mounts, small adhesive squares, to put the photos in the book.

Did you have any trouble with the scrapbook getting to thick (after adding pics/cards/content) for the spiral binding? How many pages can you fill?

No trouble at all. Very sturdy album and I cram them with 18 years of pictures and artwork

Could I use any scrapbook refill pages?

As long as they have the spiral binding yes

What are the dimensions of the paper (not including the spiral)?

it is a 12" X 12" square as stated on the write up of the album. very sturdy. I use them to make scrapbooks for our high school graduating grand kids. next year i will be making my 5th one.
