I'm a graphic designer who needed a large-scale monitor without the eye-straining miniaturization that comes with the newer 4K monitors. This one from BenQ fit the bill. Color fidelity appears to be very good, and much better than my old-and-fading Dell 3007WFP which this monitor replaces. The size is very nice, the brightness so far has been terrific, and the price was very attractive. It produces excellent and faithful proofs on my Epson SureColor printer. I'm happy with this purchase.

I own 2x of these, and so combined review for both. I have been building custom computer systems for more than 25-years, way to many to count at this point (and do I feel old). Over the years, I've had the benefit of seeing the continuous improvements in monitor technology. This BenQ PD2500 IPS panel is certainly a big step forward. I was skeptical at first about buying a display panel online, and having the box bounce around during shipping. I must say, the packaging is quite decent with full-surround of foam and thick cardboard. All pixels intact and responding out-of-the-box, no damages to either box. Brightness is excellent, a distinction of this panel versus most of its peers. In my case, I have 2x side-by-side, and so elected to go with the 25" screen rather than 27". I was initially concerned how the 2k resolution would look at this size, but have been pleasantly suprised. I have these connected to 2x different computers, and neither is an issue. The Lenovo Win10 laptop with Intel graphics card uses standard DisplayPort with both screens without issue. The desktop Ubuntu Linux system also works quite fine over mini-DP. I have specialized color calibration hardware, and the factory reports and tuning of the displays was nearly spot-on, even after shipping. One thing that I do not like is the Eco mode with the integrated camera sensor. While I like the idea in theory, it is way to sensitive on timing. If I sit in my office chair without moving much for more than 30-seconds, it starts to prepare to turn the monitor off. This really needs to be an adjustable time period. I have it disabled. The USB ports work brilliantly as advertised, passing signal through without issue. I have a bit of a unique length to my cables due to computers all over, and this handles without issue. This tells me good tight grounding and low interference on the backplane. A note when connecting multiple monitors - the BenQ displays themselves support MST (chaining them together so that you only need a single video cable from your computer). However, I have found that even in 2019, video card support for MST is non-existent. My NVidia card will detect and work, but during power off/on, it is a completely mixed bag. Even though the DisplayPort standard says it should work, NVidia does not officially. Same with Intel graphics card. Just run 2x stupid cables from the computer, 1x to each screen, and save yourself a bunch of aggravation. Overall, these are of excellent quality. IPS provides beautiful crisp direct-on display, extremely bright, and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a truly beautiful display. Take care of your eyes and feel confident that a display like this should give you years of quality service.

Wow! - So, I have the Benq SW320 currently and had a PD3200U also in the past - the SW320 obviously is 32inch and about $1000 more in the price - but this 27" monitor is really awesome in quality. The SW320 I had set at HDR on all the time and it stuns, but this one I tried the HDR- and as it looks great - I choose to go with a user color. The Color really rocks, and whites are nice and crisp and the text is really great. I would say this comes close to being my favorite monitor- I can almost feel like ditching the others. So, about a year ago I purchased a couple of LG monitors 27" - and I was very impressed with the quality they had, but two things stuck out- as I had returned those- was they would leave an imprint/burn-in on black screens- and I was not going to take a chance on that again - and the quality of the monitor is a little weak. They are great monitors- and I know the color was good if not great on those also - but this monitor is just a pleasure to look at - I am very particular on color - whites especially - I don't like cream color - splotches of red or green in some areas of the screen- I am not seeing really anything like that here- everything stands out. Build quality is top-notch and (no dead pixels) - did the online test of pixel tests red/white/green/black screen - nothing Color bleed on blacks- looks to be what maybe others say - but I usually see that anyways on my other 2 4k monitors- I have the Benq SW320 and the LG UD99W (I believe the model is on that) - and they are stunning- but this is my favorite to work on currently - Those other LG monitors I had in the past I was worried about the small text- and not seeing everything- but the 27" brings the 4K directly within view to my eyes- and that makes me happy - Benq is also great with support- I would give them an A+ on issues with previous monitors- I don't know if I would have trusted a session with LG- Anyways- I really would like to pick up another one of these- and have 2 - so maybe in the future- or before they get trigger fingers and want to update this monitor- please keep it like it is- reviews were right on this one- Thanks Benq- WOW
