Is it possible to connect an external yagi roof antenna with rg6 coax cable to this radio? or does it come with a small antenna connected permanently?

Andrew: The FM input on the Sangean is for standard 75-ohm (RG6) so your external antenna will connect. It comes with an FM loop antenna, but I have an external antenna hooked up and it works fine. rgds, Pete

Does this reciever pick up HD-2 signals?

Yes this does. I read the manual and it says hd 1 hd2 and hd 3

Will it keep station memories if you unplug or lose power?

I think for a little while. I have a Sangean HDR-18 radio, very similiar to this receiver in operation. I have unplugged it to move it and I did not loose any preset radio stations.

Can you force analog-only reception? There's a station I like that has very bad compression artifacts on the digital.

Not that I can find. This was possible on the older model (HDT-1x) but not on this one as far as I can tell.
