Some flaking remains from the psoriasis my husband has but the relentless itching in the inflamed areas has been eliminated.

Genuine product

It smells HORRIBLE, like burnt tires. I am willing to overlook this drawback though, and am also greatful they did not add fragrance to cover the tar smell, as I am sensitive to added fragrance. I highly recommend this shampoo because it does work. It also cleans my hair thoroughly without drying it out or leaving a film on my hair. I have tried everything for my scalp condition: Nizoral, T Sal, "natural, organic remedies", dye free, fragrance free, and zinc based shampoos. This has been the only product I've tried that has stopped the itching, reduced the flakiness and seen positive results. Update: I have actually grown to like the smell of the shampoo, and the shampoo continues to work wonderfully. On the odd occasion that I try to use something different the itching comes right back, and I have to rewash my hair the next day, something I normally don't do.

The scent wasn't bad..its a medicated shampoo so it's not a perfume scent. Helped relieve the itch and flaking though I only use twice a week. Would recommend but I do use other shampoos so my sclap doesn't become immuned.

Purchased in June, it is now September. I was struggling for over a year with itchy, flakey scalp. I've tried many dandruff shampoos and home remedies and everything either stopped working after 1 week or didn't work at all. After I washed my hair and my hair dried I would see flakes. I almost went to a dermatologist but I found this shampoo and thought I'd try it first. THIS STUFF WORKS AND STAYS WORKING. So the first week I used it I actually used it 5 out of days of the week. Each time I washed my hair I massaged this into my scalp, let sit for 1 minute, rinse. Then I applied it again and let sit for another minute. Before my 3rd day of use I noticed I did have a very little amount of flakes but they were a bit bigger BUT when I wiped them away it DID NOT create more flakes!! That was such a huge problem for me as I could never hide my flakes. After my 5th washing day my flakes were completely gone. It's been 2 months and I try to use the shampoo maybe once a week just to prevent flakes from coming back as so far I only get flakes when I don't wash my hair for like 3-4 days but if I do every other day with regular shampoo my scalp is perfectly fine. Oh, the smell isn't pretty but it's not strong and disgusting either.
