This is a very nice and useful magnifying glass. The lighting is just perfect. It completely illuminates whatever you may be looking at and/or reading. Great quality for the price. I love the little soft bag that comes with it for covering the lens. It keeps it from becoming dusty while sitting on the shelf. With this magnifier you can easily read the tiniest of type.

I've used many magnifiers and I've come to prefer the ones like this with lights all around the circumference to those with just one light at the base. The illumination is MUCH more even when it comes from all around.But the really great thing about this magnifier is the fact that it can be used either as a standard handheld unit, but then also quickly folds out on its own stand so it can be used hands-free. That feature really makes this magnifier stand out - no pun intended.My only gripes about this product are relatively minor: first, the LED ring light isn't waterproof, so you must take care when cleaning the lens not to let water get in (if it does, no real harm, but the lights may not work until it's dry again), and second, when using it in stand mode, the top joint/hinge that angles the lens is a little weak, with no screw available to tighten it down. This means the lens will sometimes slowly droop a little from where you set it. It's not loose or floppy, just a bit weak for the weight of the lens.It comes with a nice soft bag to protect the lens. However, it fits VERY loosely and falls off too easily. A spring-bead on the lasso would fix that.Rechargeable batteries seem to work just fine in this unit and last a good long while. I'm using Eneloop Pros.

Bought this to inspect gems in a geology class. Works great. The bigger lens is great. The smaller lens lets you get really close. The light helps you see everything better.

It has good magnification an a very clear lens material. BUT:1) Battery cover keeps sliding off every time I pick it up.2) Quick start / users guide(manual) was written for an older product with incandescent (flashlight) bulbs3) While it might seem the location of the on/off switch being on the side is convenient, some of us find it impossible to leave it in the desired position when hand holding it.4) Difficult as a standup magnifier because the glass is nearly as heavy as the base/battery compartment, and the molded plastic cover of the battery compartment has a slight radius to it so the thing wobbles alot and easily falls over.5) The ''included pouch'' only covers the lens -is not large enough to hold the complete device. While this would seem sufficient to keep the lens scratch free, the draw sting will not stay cinched up so as you pickup the magnifier to put it away the pouch slides off. It would have been better if this had an elastic band? You will need to add a squeeze lock coat string keeper (as we did).6) I was amazed that even with a fresh set of big name brand batteries the LED's are not very bright. It is just enough to light the viewing area AND at least this way they last a long time.7) (Updated 10/2019) Had problems locating my old review...after 3 months I stopped bothering to try to keep the LED's lit - the extremely cheap acting switch takes 5-6 minutes of ''fiddling'' to get the lights on, and they turn back off within seconds. I have a $1.99 25 year old flashlight which has a better working switch.

I ordered this bc I sometimes have trouble focusing on small objects, even with my glasses on. 🤓 This is a great magnifying glass. I love that it has a light, should you need it (which, you will). You can use it hands free, too! If you have pets, you may want to buy done cheap lens wipes if you don't already have them. 😉

The box that it came in was ripped so I knew something was wrong from the get-go. The handle wouldn't stay in place to be a handheld so it was defective. It also didn't have the bonus cloth bag that was supposed to come with it. So I think this was a return that accidentally got shipped to me. It was much too big anyway for what I needed so it would have been going back regardless.

Terribly manufactured product. The product itself, i.e., the magnifier and light work well and deliver a solid one-two punch for the money. The one EXCEPTION--the battery cover. Everytime I try to use this magnifier, the battery cover keeps popping off. Alas, like they say, here is proof that the rubber has not met the road yet.

Not the best quality, but not the highest priced either. They work for me. The switch cover did fall off the first time I used it so I have had to be careful with it. It magnifies well and the lights are a great help for the little things I work with. I use them mostly for crafting.

Lupe passt. Aber der Griff, der gleichzeitig Standfuss ist, ist sehr leicht gebaut. Das ganze wirkt etwas "windig". Der Verschlussdeckel für das Batteriefach lässt sich etwas kniffelig verschließen. Der Klappmechanismus des Griffes, der gleichzeitig Fuß ist, fühlt sich nicht sehr stabil an.

Unfortunately arrived broken - or at least with the battery cover missing. But seems like a good item, unfortunately cannot guarantee much.

Very good and better than others I have had, the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that it keeps folding when I try to use it unfolded.
