Used this for when my dog had an injury on one of the front paws in order to try to reduce a bit of the weight on those front legs. This is a large dog, over 115lbs. I was impressed, shocked I should say how well this harness held up. It remained intact through the whole ordeal. No tearing on the fabric or the stitches. None! It’s easy to put on because it completely separates in two halves if you need to, so you don’t have to fight with your pet to make it stick its legs through any holes. I was dealing with a huge animal, but with a smaller dog, you can use this harness to completely lift the animal off the ground if you have to. The way it’s designed, it does a good job distributing the pressure mainly on the chest area with seemingly no pressure on the areas that would hurt, like the “underarms” for example. Size wise, not sure what to recommend. I got the XXLarge for my dog and even for its size, it was maybe, just a little bit too big, but I was still able to adjust it properly. I obviously have no idea if a size smaller (XLarge) would’ve been right on the money or turn out to be too small. Use the chart in their photo and measure your pet carefully. You should be ok. Keep in mind that it’s not waterproof. It will get wet in the winter, for example, but I guess that makes it breathable so you can put it on and leave it on for extended periods. Fully recommend it.

Vor zwei Wochen bekam unsere 13 jährige Kangal-Malinois Hündin eine altersbedingte Durchblutungsstörung des Gleichgewichtsorgans im Mittelohr. Dadurch bedingt konnte sie nur sehr schwankend gehen. An Treppesteigen überhaupt nicht zu denken. Da wir in der ersten Etage wohnen, ist das Tragen recht mühsam. Zudem unsere Hündin noch nie gerne tragen ließ, da sie vergangenheitsbezogen Angst davor hat. Das erste Tragegeschirr, welches wir von einer Nachbarin bekamen, deren Hündin gleicher Größe im letzten Jahr altersbedingt eingeschläfert werden musste, war von der Qualität so schlecht, dass die Nähte unterhalb der Abdeckung im Bereich des Haltegriffs aufrissen. Es war reines Glück, dass der Griff nicht abgerissen ist. Man mag sich nicht vorstellen, was alles hätte passieren können. Auch der Sitz des Tragegeschirrs ist alles andere als gut. Ganz anderes dieses Tragegeschirr hier, welches wir von einer anderen Nachbarin empfohlen bekamen: Top verarbeitet, tolle Einstellmöglichkeiten, sehr stabile Nähte, bzw. stabiles Material. Das Geschirr wirkt überhaupt nicht klobig. Unser altes Mädchen befindet sich auf dem Weg der Besserung und macht gute Fortschritte. Der Gleichgewichtssinn hat sich zu ca. 75% regeneriert. Inzwischen benötigen wir das Tragegeschirr nur noch zur reinen Absicherung beim Treppesteigen ("bessser is'"). Wir sind jedenfalls sehr zufrieden mit dem Tragegeschirr und können es ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Broken item.. want to return.. very bad experience

I ordered a XXLarge based on my dogs measurements: Neck 27", Chest 37", Belly 32", Length 13" (Size chart for XXLarge is Neck 27-30", Belly 30-32", Length 15". He is a Black Lab / German Shepard mix weighing 97 pounds. He is 14 years old and rear legs are weak. It is a struggle to lift him into the car to take him to the vet and I thought this harness would help. The fit is good except the length which is right up to his penis and the harness bunches up a little because of that. The sellers picture shows a female dog but a male dog can't use the full span of the belly. I ordered the XXLarge because of his neck and belly measurements, I wasn't sure the XLarge would be large enough at the neck and belly. I am trying to decide if I should return it for a XLarge which I think the length would be better but I am concerned if it would fit the neck and belly. There may be enough "play" in the velcro straps to fit, not sure. The design is well thought out, the quality seems very good, it is well made and he is getting accustomed to wearing it. It is pretty simple to get on (while he is standing) and make the adjustments. I fold over a small portion of the harness material on the belly and he was able to pee without interference. I have not tried using the harness to lift him in the car so don't know yet how well it will work for that but I am sure it will be better that the towel I use.
