Desert Essence Sweet Almond Hand and Body Lotion, 8 fl oz

This has the Sweet Almond smell I was looking for! The specific sweet, nutty, almost cherry-like smell comes from Benzaldehyde. Buying products online labeled “Almond”” or “Sweet Almond” are hit or miss when you’re looking for this smell. This one has it. On top of that, the ingredients are great, the texture is rich and creamy and absorbs well into the skin. Great for sensitive skin. In fact this was the only lotion I had that didn’t burn when I needed something for my sunburn. Even all the aloes available had water and alcohol… the first ingredient in this lotion listed was Aloe, no alcohol, so in desperation I thought what the heck. IT WAS SO SOOTHING!!! Even with a strong fragrance to it, it was so mild and it helped heal my skin. I was grateful to have had in on hand. If you like layering scents, and are looking for this type of almond scent, I use Pre De Provence Almond soap, and Cuccio’s Sweet Almond oil. Same type of smells with great ingredients.

I had purchased this hand and body lotion for myself. It works well at nourishing your skin. One of my nieces asked me what I was wearing. I told her about the Sweet Almond hand and body lotion. She wanted to know where I bought it. She said it smells like Grandma did. The almond scent is special to our family because my mom always used almond flavoring in her Frosting recipe she made to decorate cakes with. When I found it on Amazon I had to buy it for my niece for her birthday. She loved it!

Love the scent, have been looking for a almond lotion since jergens decided to change their scent! Not greasy either!

I remember how much I loved the almond scent in jergens lotion growing up. I feel that his product has much cleaner ingredients for our skin then others. It does the job of softening the skin especially after showering. Our skin is our largest organ in our body and it easily absorbs whatever ingredients we put on it, so I feel like I am making a healthy decision in using Desert Essence lotion.

Smells super duper! Smells a little like cherry too. It’s a nice soft scent though, i’ve gotten other almond scented lotions that simply don’t compare. And the price is good as well. I’d def buy again!!

This is the most delicious smelling moisturizer, and it left my skin feeling butter soft. It took me awhile to figure out, but even though i was just using it on my arms and legs, it gave me a terrible, burning rash on my neck and chest just from it being on my hands. I liked it so much, I bought three big tubes before I realized it gave me this rash. Now I'm stuck with 2.5 expensive tubes, and the return window closed three weeks ago.

Having long used their frangrance free lotion, I was disappointed not to see it offered. I still like the lotion, but the scent, while not unpleasant or too chemical, was not what I wanted. It is hard to get this lotion out of the tube once a good bit of it has been used.
