Oily
They arrived oily. Maybe they wanted them to look fresh, so they applied much oil or grease on them. Just white them before u use them. AND DONT PUT THEM IN UR WARDROE. their smell is strong. It goes away layer.

Overall very decent for the price. Strong rubber smell but it's normal for this type of material - and if you put outside in the shade for a few days (avoid prolonged direct sunlight) it will reduce a lot. Great grip, decent build quality (so far). Only disappointment is inaccurate weight 1 was 30.2lbs the other 29.1lbs. not a big deal though.

Hard to beat the price. However, you're going to want to leave it in the garage or on the the patio for about a week so the odor dissipates. Strong plastic smell....

got these on amazon prime sale, they are great value. the dumbbells are well made, the handles are knurled to give good grip although i would recommend using gloves to make it easier to hold. will be buying other weights as I build my strength up.
