Good for a replacement part
I needed an extra extension for my filter because I wanted the tube to run all the way down to the tank bottom. Don't forget to order the connector part to go with this. I forgot but I ordered it later to attach it to the other part.

I see all the negative reviews just wanted to post love the product got both pieces I needed to install it just like how it came came with the middle strainer the extension to works great filters water better

No way to connect
When it ways "extension", you would think it's something you can buy to connect to your filter part, but there is no way to connect it because it's exactly the same width as the tube you have. You need to buy a connector piece, and this wasn't written on the product description. I should have read reviews because many people complain about it. Furthermore, it didn't come in a box, just a small envelope without much protection, so it's lucky that it didn't get cracked.
