Q: I have arthritis in my hands. Are the openings large enough to "pinch" into, or do you need to use a spoon?

I believe that the openings are large enough my husband too has arthritis in his hands and he uses ours without a spoon. The box is a little larger than a bread plate and each section is approx. 2 1/2 inchesat widest point and narrowest 1 1/4 inches by about 5 inches in length. We love ours.

Q: Did anyone else have problems opening this box?!?!?!? Had to use a case knife. Marred the box. It was glued shut by the poly finish!!!

I had no problems with my box. Cover opened easily. If I were you I would return and have another box sent to you.

Q: What type of seal does this box have? Is it magnetic? Does it seal well? I've seen some magnetic ones and am only concerned this doesn't list that.

It doesn't really have a "seal". It's just a wooden lid that slides back and forth which covers whatever you have inside fairly well, but not air tightly. I have coarse salt and pepper inside my box, and for this purpose, it works great.
