No batteries in it at all. Works off you blowing into it while pressing down keys

Does anyone know how to keep the breathing tube from falling out while you are playing the instrument? I had trouble with mine falling out a lot.

How well does this stay in tune? I’m going to be using this in studio and stage with a group of professional musicians. Can it be tuned of need be?

It can be tuned. You need to buy a harmonica tuning kit, they work fine for melodicas. As to how often you need to tune it: well, it depends on how much you play and how hard you blow it.
