Trail Camera charging.
I have 2 trail camera which 1 uses 8 AA batteries, the other uses 4 C batteries, the batteries in the summer last about 5 weeks, in cold weather maybe 2 weeks, got tired of keep buying batteries, or when i got back up north found out that the batteries went dead and missed a whole lot of pictures so i purchased a 6 volt system (battery and solar cell), and a 12 volt system, what each trail camera required and no longer have to change batteries, they are always up with a charge.I would advise to buy online (Amazon), when i reviewed at the sporting goods store, the cost for 1 battery and solar cell is $40 to $50.00 and up, and they are much smaller solar cell in the store than what i purchased online.

Great setup for Continental AWS-10
When I bought an AWS-10 for my patio garden, I wanted to make sure that it had plenty of power (as it had been reviewed to be power hungry) and from as reliable of a source as possible (since the settings reset when power is lost). My mains cuts out intermittently, so that was out and this is about the only option I had left.I had to modify the automatic watering unit to take two battery leads, but since then it has worked flawlessly. Even in partial sun, the panel puts out a strong voltage. I would highly recommend this to anyone that was looking for a power source for their AWS-10.

perfect for game camera
I have a 5MP game camera that uses 8 AA rechargeables. Never took very good night shots - IR flash wasn't bright enough. IT IS NOW! With the 6V supply to the camera and no more AA's, I'm getting the full range on night shots. And no more messing with batteries. The solar panel is mounted on the side of a small plastic ammo dry storage box ($10, any gun shop), battery inside, hanging by rope against tree facing south. Even partially shaded, it stays charged. Can't beat the price either when you compare what the game camera folks want for the same solution!
