Q: How many packs of seeds?

Thank you for reaching out to us about our jalapeno seeds packets for your home garden. With each purchase, you will receive one seed packet. But our seed packets come with 700 mg of heirloom, non-GMO, open-pollinated, non-hybrid hot pepper seed! That ends up being about 75 or more seeds. With so many jalapeno pepper seedlings, you can start your own nursery and sell them, or at least share them with your neighbors! Or, bottle your own hot sauce. The possibilities are endless with pepper seeds from Gardeners Basics!

Q: Do these get big enough to make poppers?

Yes they will. Being heirloom jalapeños they should make excellent poppers. I’m looking forward to giving that a try. Furthermore, I finally had a high germination rate, 25 of 26 came up, which depends on so much more than just the seeds. Good luck and happy cooking and eating.

Q: Can I grow these in a pot?

For sure! I start all mine in a small yogurt cup with potting soil, then transfer to a pot when they're a couple of inches tall and have several branches of leaves. From there they can go into bigger pots or the ground. My best ones have been in pots because I put them in a place where there was more direct sunlight for longer periods of time.

Q: What is the germination rate for these seeds?

not sure. Last year I put some on a damp paper towel and transferred them to a pot.
