Bought this book to help with swapping the worn timing chain on my 05 Accord 4 cylinder. Haven't done the job yet but just thumbing through the guide seem thorough and better than any of the info I have found online. Definitely inspires confidence that I can do the job. The timing chain on these cars seems a bit trickier than your average timing belt, but not by that much! Should save me about a grand in mechanic bills.

If you do alot of your own work on your car, it is useful to have a manual like this. It has alot of useful information and pictures in it, but it is certainly far from comprehensive. Alot of the info is pretty generic in nature rather than specific to the vehicle or even the manufacturer. Even the parts that are somewhat specific may not be accurate for your specific model and year. I also found that it goes into alot of detail on things that a DIY mechanic would not take on without a more detailed manual (like engine rebuilds) rather than focusing on more thorough and model-specific detail on things you would take on -- brakes, coolant, oil, alternator, 02 sensor, EGR, radiator, etc. Many vehicles have general maintenance and other fairly common failures that are well within the ability of folks who prefer to do it themselves and this manual would be better off focusing on those things in a detailed way rather than much of the less useful and generic info. It does have some pretty good wiring diagrams (not sure yet how accurate they are to my model, so not sure I can trust them). They also cover the vehicle specific OBD2 codes so if you have a code reader (which you should), you can at least get a pretty good idea on where to start your diagnosis (although an online search works pretty well as well). You will also find torque specs for most bolts so that is beneficial. If you really get serious about tackling a specific repair that is not sufficiently covered in this manual, you can get access to the actual detailed manuals online for a fee (on a time limited basis). This is more expensive and only gives you access for a limited time, but will have much more accurate and specific details than a general manual like this (see NASTF, AllDataDIY, Mitchell1DIY if you need to go this route). SUMMARY: Overall, I found this useful and am glad I got one for each of my vehicles and will continue to buy them for future vehicles since I like to work on my own cars and understand what is going on. However, it is not sufficient to solve all problems (but there are online resources available for that).

Book came in wrapped and in great condition had no problems at all with it arriving great information great condition no complaints at all. Would buy again if I had a different car.

I got a newer model, but this has everything you need for the correct maintenance of your car.
