Comfort first - Nice that they look good too.
Good boot so far. Comfortable and durable, no hot spots and they seem to breath well. I have weak ankles and I was a little concerned based on the pictures that they might not come up high enough to support. I was pleasantly surprised that they do give good ankle support. So many of the Timerland hiking boots are the same nondescript brown with a little green trim. Nice to see them breaking out of the pattern. Update - I have worn several pairs of these shoes since I wrote my initial review. They are as good as I hoped they would be and more durable then I expected. The pair on the right are just over a year old. I have worn them backpacking , canoeing and have renovated three houses while wearing them. They are still comfortable and water tight. However my wife is getting a little concerned when I try to wear them in public. Soooo, time for a new pair.
