I love the weight of this pillow, as well as how it supports my head and neck. And it really does stay cool! Typically I'm flip-flopping my pillow all night long to keep it cool, but not with this one. Another reviewer mentioned letting the pillow air out before using it, but to me there was not a noticeable smell and I was able to use it right away. I received this pillow at no charge in return for an unbiased, honest review, and I'm very, very pleased with this product. I often wake with headaches from sleeping wrong, but I have slept very well and woken up refreshed using this product. I'm looking forward to buying another one and getting rid of the piles of regular pillows I keep on my bed (I keep them so I can rearrange and stack them trying to get the right support for my neck and head) and replacing that ugly pile with two of these. Voila!

At first, I was disappointed at how thin it is and was worried it would not provide enough support. I would still prefer it to be a bit thicker, however I have had an interesting experience with it. I am surprised at how little give the pillow has while still feeling soft. The cooling gel is excellent and definitely works great. I was shocked that I wasn't flipping the pillow in the night at all due to the firm yet giving design. My wife and I bought a memory foam mattress and I bought one of the pillows from the dealer as it was a bit thicker than this one. After trying it out I almost immediately switched back to this pillow. The other one was far too giving and I felt like my head ended up lower than on this pillow despite the difference in thickness. I again tried the other pillow the following evenin and it wasn't long before I switched back to this one yet again. If this one was just a bit thicker it would be perfect, however I am extremely satisfied with it and will be using it from now on.

The pillow is firm but it is actually comfortable for a side or back sleeper. I sadly had to give it only one star because it has a very strange odor. The odor goes through the pillow case provided and 2 additional pillow cases I put on it. The smell got on my bed and my hair. It it wasn't for the smell I definitely would have given higher rating, but what is that smell??? I certainly do not want to sleep on something that omits such a strong & permeating odor.

I have neck issues and bought these thinking it would help. They were the hardest pillows I have ever placed my head on. It was like sleeping on a concrete block. The pillows never even made an indent when I placed my head on the pillow, and by the middle of the night I had to stop using it because I developed a horrible headache. Sorry, but I would not ever recommend them to anyone.

Still TOO warm!! I have used it 5 nights now. As a side only sleeper It is not completely supportive of my neck. I do like that it is larger than a standard pillow, and firmer. I don't think it has improved my sleep. I can't tell which side is gel with pillow cases on it, I put 2-3 cases on to protect the pillow more because it is still too warm for me.

I got this pillow for my daughter because I have a cooling memory foam pillow that I got a few years ago and she always comments how much she loves my pillow. I got her this pillow in hopes that it would live up to the standards of my pillow. So far, she is very happy with it and says that she falls asleep easier and her neck doesn't hurt when she wakes up in the morning like it was with her old pillow. As far as the cooling aspect of the pillow, she said that doesn't notice her head sweating during sleep as much but nothing extraordinary. It is just a really comfortable pillow.

This is a great pillow which I have owned for about a month. Over the years, and especially more recently, I have used memory foam pillows and even a water pillow. I generally like very firm, supportive pillows and this one fits the bill. This kind of reminds me of a Tempurpedic memory foam "neck" style pillow but it is much less expensive. Unlike other users, I noticed no unusual smells.I hope it is durable. In my experience, a pillow used every night rarely lasts more than 2 years. Time will tell if it lasts this long.

I have had excruciating pain in my left shoulder for months, getting up in the morning was a chore for weeks. Anti-inflammatory medication eased the intensity of the pain, but this pillow has helped lower pain to about a 2-3 at this point. I was skeptical about this pillow, but after reading other reviews, I decided to give it a try. So I have lower back issues and like I said, shoulder pain. After one night of sleeping on the pillow, I woke up with pain at a 1... just needed to stretch and I was good to go!!! It has been a couple of weeks now, and my pain is gone.I do want to say that for me, laying flat on my back enhanced pain in my lower back. However, if you are a 'side-sleeper' then you will be just fine. The pillow does not sink, which I love, but also not so hard that it feels like a rock. It's softness is just enough! I also like that it feels cool, so there is no sweating at night, which is great.
