Natural Coconut Activated

We installed this light in my son's nursery, clamped to the side of his changing table. We originally ordered it because my mom helps us with the little guy but she has low vision, so we thought this would improve her diaper changing scenario.Well we've all fallen in love with it. The lamp is so bright (bulb wasn't included, we bought one) and easily angled so that we can really see where (sorry this might be TMI!) the poo is when we're changing him. It's also great because we can simply flick this light on instead of turning the main light on in his room, sparing his newborn eyes from the searing brightness in the middle of the night.The light doesn't take batteries, rather it plugs into the wall. The clamp is very powerful and doesn't seem to budge easily.The blue is very true blue, I thought it would be quite cobalt but it's a mix between royal and cobalt blue I'd say.A note - the bulb heats up and I wouldn't aim the lamp so that any feet or hands could brush into it. I don't think this is a function of the lamp though, rather the bulb.Overall it's a fun, useful addition to the nursery!

I am very happy with this light. Its very bright even though it uses only a 40 watt bulb and its neck is a decent length so you can bend it to reach right where you need. The blue and chrome colors give it a nice modern look. It would have been nice if its on off switch was at the top of the light instead of built into the cord. I needed to find a way of fastening the cord to the underside of the desk shelving so it wasn't just drooping there.

I ordered this lamp for my daughter to use when doing her homework. She has a desk in our den next to a bookcase and has had a clip-on lamp for a couple of years. The clip on the old lamp would regularly slip off the bookcase shelf and the clip finally broke. The clip on this lamp is VERY strong. I had to use both hands to open it the inch necessary to put it on (and I'm no weenie) and it has stayed nice and tight ever since. I also like that the switch for this lamp is the little one on the cord that you push with your finger to turn on and off. Other lamps we've had have had the switch on the back of the lamp and they have gotten very hot. I don't have to worry about burned fingers with this one. The cord is nice and long, too. I am very pleased.

I bought 3 of these for my kids so they could read books in bed @ night. 2 of them don't work anymore. If I wanted to buy clip on lamps that would break after 2 months I would of gone to walmart and bought the plastic ones for 1/2 the price. I expected the lamps to work for a long time; especiallywhen you are spending $20 on one. I can't return them anymore because they aren't covered under amazon's return policy. Also, the clip kept coming undone from their beds when they would try to adjust the neck of the lamp. They might of stopped working b/c the lamps would fall down on their beds when this would happen. It's quite irritating.

The lamp and neck are attractive, but the clip is atrocious. I tried to use this as a flexible solution for mounting a grow light above my plans. The clip design was such that it literally didn't fit any of the tables or shelves I tried to clip it to!The only configuration that would work is the one in the product picture, where the lamp is above the clip (directly), so there's almost no force on the clip. If you try to lean the lamp in pretty much any direction, the clip is too small.

I ordered this for my son's bedroom, so he can read before bed. the switch is kid friendly, and the light is good looking and gives great light for reading. however, the main feature of the light is its clip, which is very cheaply made. I expected perhaps a rubber tipped-clip, or something to securely grab on to surfaces. In this case, there are rubber disks, but they fall out so, all in all, I would look for something a bit more substantial, i have a feeling this clip will break shortly.

This lamp is small and portable. It packs easily (making it convenient for those of us who live in residence halls/dormitory rooms), and clips just about anywhere. I have a 40 watt bulb in it that makes it great for reading (anything but my textbooks) before bed, and if I have to get up in the middle of the night, I can angle it to cast light on my whole room. It can get a bit warm if I leave it on for hours on end, but never alarmingly so.However, the plastic bubbles that help it grip when it's clipped are slowly coming off. Where I currently have it, this isn't an issue, but if I ever need to move it, I will probably have to try to find a way to glue those back on.I love this lamp, no regrets.

I use this as a bed lamp. I have it clipped on a 1-inch thick side rail of the headboard.. Due to the limits of the clamp opening, I doubt that you could clamp it on anything thicker than 1 and 1/8 inch (2.8 cm). The electrical cord runs through the goose neck and the switch in located in-line on the electrical cord, close to the clamp.This keeps the switch close at hand and both switch and cord are easy to keep our-of-sight. But be forewarned, if you strongly prefer the switch to be on the lamp-head, it is not on this model. - Don M
