I run a small online shop selling things I’ve hand painted, and I end up going through A LOT of brushes because I wear them out. Usually, when I see deals like this, I assume that some of the brushes will have something wrong with them or something, but this was not the case at all. All of them were in great shape, nothing bent or anything. I’m ecstatic, this gives me a lot to work with. I’ll be buying more soon. 😎

I love that I could get so many brushes for a decent price! They definitely aren’t high quality but being a beginner artist I’m fine with that. I also planned on having some for my toddler daughter to use as well so didn’t mind lower quality. For example, she used her brush with her kid paints and now one of the brushes is dyed a darker color? Weird but I assume it’s the quality of bristles. Again, I’m fine with it since it’s just mostly for play and I use while I’m learning techniques.

I had two projects in mind when choosing this collection of brushes. One was to more expected, painting watercolor scenes. The other was highlighting architectural details on some wood furniture I’m trying to restore. For painting scenes, the small brushes are called for to put in small details, but with the wood furniture, I’ll be using several of the larger brushes. That will be two sets for very different uses. With four full sets of brushes left, I may be sharing with other painters or wood refinishers, but I may put a couple of sets in a relatively unnoticeable spot, saving them for new projects I know will be coming. I’m happy to have such nice brushes at hand.

These AmazonBasics paint brushes are great for painting miniatures and are reasonably priced. They work well for base paint, details, washing, and dry brushing, and the range of sizes from small to tiny is just right for Warhammer 40K. The triangular grips are comfortable and offer good control, though they do take a little getting used to if you are used to basic round handles. So far these have proven durable when used with Citadel paints. This is a nice set of brushes for anyone trying to make their chaos space marines look their best, and they come in an attractive, sturdy box that makes them suitable for gift giving.

Can't say if this set is a good value or not--it does not have a product page, and does not show a price. But if the price is in line with other off-brand brushes, I think these will be worthwhile. The bristles are nylon and have a decent tensile strength for tiny detail brushes. You will need to do trimming on about half of them. There are errant hairs--not loose hairs, but some too long or not tapered symmetrically or evenly. Ferrules are tight on all brushes I received, and the finish on the wood handles have no flaws. I don't agree that all of these brushes are different--on some length and/or density of hairs is too similar to be termed "different". Also, and this might just be personal style: I like the idea of the triangular finger-thumb hold, but I find it too close to the brush head for me.

Really nice brushes and are great for doing detail work in my paintings. Used these a decent amount and haven't had any fraying or shedding, the bristles are very delicate though so make sure to take decent care of them.
