Biodegradable Plastic Mulch Film
Not impervious to the growth of weeds.

Waste of Money
Thin, flimsy and a waste of money. Love the concept but it’s terrible in use. Flies around in the wind while stapling. If the wind catches it while you’re stapling, it just rips.Awful product- do not waste your time and money. Please make a biodegradable product that actually works.

So far, so good.
This was a little thinner than the plastic mulch film I have previously used. So far, it is holding up but has only been down for about 5 weeks. If it really holds up until at least the end of July when all my veggies are in full growth, I think I'll be happy. However I am used to leaving the plastic mulch in my raised beds over winter to head off the spring weed crop I would otherwise have to rogue out. I may have second thoughts if this mulch biodegrades before I am ready to pull it off for replacement next spring.

Not a very strong product
This plastic is very flimsy and tears easily like when trying to put a stake through it. It's a bit hard to lay it over the ground by yourself because it sticks to the roll and flies away in the wind but it is possible. I am currently using it in my garden for weed control but honestly the tarps I put down between sections work better. I suppose the best use for it is to lay it down and make holes to plant through it. Of course you have to use drip irrigation under the plastic film. The plastic film is only good for one season, if that. I will use it up but wish I had purchased something thicker and stronger.

rips and tears easily, weeds have torn and come through
Cheap, this, rips and tears easily, weeds have torn and come through. I contacted seller, and they told me"Hi Keith,The product you order is the thinner of all the plastic mulch. If you want a plastic that is biodegradable then that is the one. We do have thicker mulch. I am sorry that you are not happy with the product.Sincerely,Beverly"Worked well for first month to warm soil, now it will not prevent weeds or keep soil warm. Do not waste money buying this product, especially with the lack of customer service and response.

but am disappointed that it is not stronger and longer lasting
Lays down well and keeps the weeds away. I am very excited about it's biodegradability, but am disappointed that it is not stronger and longer lasting. It does rip easily, and does not last all season. Hopefully, it will be improved to be stronger and longer lasting. I will continue to use it because it biodegrades, but I will put an organic mulch over it after the soil has warmed sufficiently. This should help it to last longer and not rip when my rabbit and deer chasing dogs run over it. And, I won't have to pick it up and throw it away at the end of the season. I can just till it all in! Edited: I did put a mulch over it, and that is the key to making this work for me. It does suppress bindweed and perennial grasses, and can be tilled in either in the fall or the following spring. If mulched and left until the following spring it significantly helps keep weeds down over the winter. Bindweed grew from the uncovered aisles, but not in the covered beds.
