Do I need to assemble the bee house, and how to hang it?

No assembly needed—it’s ready to use. It has a stainless steel screw clasp on the back, plus 1m rope, hooks and nails for hanging on trees or walls.

Why is the tube size 5/16" diameter and 6" long?

The size is perfect for mason bees. It also lets beekeepers easily remove cocoons, convenient for maintenance.
