How do these pens work on fabric.  Do the colors run?  Do the lines stay crisp and clean?  Are they washable?

I will say that the lines, on paper, are crisp and clean. Although I don't believe that they were made to be used on fabric so they may end up drying out quicker on fabric and may not work at all.

How long do these last? Do they run out of ink quickly?

They are very long lasting. I sometimes color 2-3 hours a day and most of the colors flow effortlessly for months. Some of the lightest colors do seem to dry out a little faster than the darker colors though. I found an art supply company on line, Dickblick.com, that sells individual pens for $1.99 and replaced a few of my most heavily used pens. Also, some of the tips tend to get a little worn after heavy use. Not a big issue if you're just using them for hobby pens.
