Oscd-Nkc - The Christmas Song

I'm in my 60's and this CD brought back many wonderful memories of the holidays as a child and listening to my parents' Nat King Cole Christmas records. What's especially nice is "The Christmas Song" (a.k.a. "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire") with Natalie Cole singing a virtual duet with her late father.

Aaaah, Lovely Nat! This CD captures the lovely music that Nat King Cole sang for Christmas. I love the older, more traditional Christmas music sung by beautiful voices. This CD definitely fits the bill. I grew up in the 60s and 70s and this music takes me back to when Christmas was more simple and meaningful. It made me relax and I immediately felt the true meaning of Christmas come back to me. If you want a holiday filled with batteries, electricity and video screens this is not for you. If you want to think about the spirit of a holiday filled with love, enjoying those around you and gazing at your tree, then give this a try. You won't be disappointed.

Hearing Nat King Cole sing makes me remember decorating the tree and baking with my mom and sisters. Dad would come home from work and find us all full of Christmas joy as we sang along as we listened to Nat sing The Christmas Song. As a soloist I performed that song many times over the years since my first time as a young child who has now grown to a retired senior citizen. Thanks for bringing me wonderful Christmas music and memories.

It's rare that I love all the songs by any given artist. I just never get tired of Nat's voice or the heart he puts into each song he sings especially these Christmas fave's.

Nat King Cole should be rightly be crowned the 'King of Christmas' because this classic holiday CD will never go out of style. It's uniquely and wonderfully perfect. My wife and I could play it 1,000 times and never grow tired of it. I purchased 2, one for me and one for my little boy who loves christmas all year round and asked me if I will buy him a nat king Cole Christmas CD because he has bing, frank and Doris but not a christmas nat king cole lol (he's such a cutie) his favorite song is all I want for Christmas as he's just lost his 2 front teeth and finds it funny trying to say "sister Suzi sitting on a thistle" lol. I always play cds i buy to make sure they're ok and have listened to this a few times now it's just so lovely. such a beautiful CD. He was so underrated and all the Christmas songs on this CD aren't ever played enough in my opinion. Thank you for such a great CD you've made a 6 year old very happy.

I was pleasantly surprised to see it is a red vinyl and I’m looking forward to playing it during the Christmas period.
