Does the usb carry data, or just power? meaning, can i plug it into a computer and read the weight value there?

This model is powered by a 9V battery which is included with the scale. A USB cord is included as well in the box. This USB cord is not for carrying data or connecting to computer programs. The cord can be connected to an adapter and to the scale to preserve the 9V battery. The adapter is not included, however, the USB works with universal adapters. Generally, the battery itself should last over six months, depending on how often you use the scale.

How long is the cord from the scale to the display? Can I set the scale on the floor and the display on a table (3 feet)?

The cord is coiled so it stretches. I can easily stretch it to 4 feet and it will stretch even further. I have use it to weigh luggage with the scale on the floor and the display on a table with no problem.

How long will it stay on when weighing something? What is the auto shut off time in minutes?

I'm having accuracy problems compared to post office scale. table is level. my scale weighs at 3lb.44oz.and po at 3lb.7.10 oz. should i return it?

I just found out this was giving me inaccurate results, too. I made sure I was in lbs and double checked in lbs/oz and both are off. I kept checking with my small 2lb, 5lb and 10lb weights and they kept coming in low, so this would definitely screw me when I actually ship items. There is no instructions on how to reset or zero out the scale. Also, my refund is already expired. Is there a way to recalibrate?
