Does anyone else hear a metallic on tinniness when listening to voices through this mic?

Absolutely not! This mic does an excellent job of reproducing vocal sound. In fact when I listen to recordings of my voice it sounds remarkably how I sound to myself. And without a lot of audio processing, it sounds as if it's an radio recording (think NPR).

Is this a good mic for hip hop lyric recording?

This Mic is amazing for any vox, acoustic guitar you name it. The clarity is as good as a u87. Just get a pip filter for vox.

is this microphone good for a soft, weak and thin female voice? If not which microphone would you recommend?

I would not recommend this mic because it has low output. It's difficult to recommend a mic that's guaranteed to work for a specific voice type. However, you could try an Audio Technica AT2020.

Trying to decide on this 440 or 441. I do work zoom/webex conference calls and YouTube podcaster

I purchased the 440 mic. I turned the gain on my mixer WAY down. In fact it's only about one quarter of what my previous mic required. I expect that both mics will do well acoustically. You should choose between the features. But I can promise you will not be disappointed with either mic.
