This product worked perfectly for me in replacing the burned-out rope in my Woolly Mammoth stove. I’ve read other reviews and can only conclude that those people who didn’t get great results may not have followed the instructions to the letter. That’s important. It was a messy and unpleasant job, but the results were great. Surfaces need to be perfectly clean and all traces of previous rope and adhesive removed. That’s not easy, and it took me at least 40 minutes to do that properly. I needed to use a mask and goggles. Then, the liquid is quite runny, but it’s supposed to be. You can’t do the job with the door in place - it must be removed and laid flat. It requires at least 15 minutes, preferably with weight on it, to cure the adhesive to the point that the door can be replaced; after that the heat of the fire will finish the curing process. It’s not easy to use - but no other product is. The question is, if you’re doing this yourself, is will you put the effort in to get it right?

Worked. Just enough to do our quite large log burner glass. Bit messy. After shopping around was great price if you have Prime free delivery.

Bottle is small but results are very good would give it five stars if I had used it and was as good as it usually is I fit lots of wood burner ropes and this is the best one I have used

Very good product. We bought it to stick on our rope seal on log burner and it worked instantly. Very impressed, it dried quickly and easy to use bonding well..

Used this several times when changing the door seal always found it to have good adhesion

A barcode label had been stuck over the instructions. Unscrewing the cap was difficult. Application was messy. But then I noticed a small hole in the top of the cap. Maybe I should have screwed the cap down tighter, to apply the adhesive through that small hole, maybe ? No clues or guidance on the bottle. It seems to have secured the fire rope. Hope I don't need to buy any more.

Arrived next day does what it says on the bottle so worked straight away Good value for money, dries quickly easy to use Would have been 5 stars but label over half of instruction so if I hadn’t used before wouldn’t have been able to read . Also packaging cardboard huge for such a small bottle
