Is there enough difference between the 1.5 and 2 qt. sizes to warrant having both?

For me, the difference is worth it. Since my children are all grown and on there own, I don't cook in large quantities anymore. So the small potsare just the thing for everyday cooking. I'll cook potatoes for mashing in the 2 qt. and a vegetable in the 1.5 qt. I also have a 3 qt. with steamer, a 4 qt. for cooking soups and spaghetti, and a 6 qt for getting veggies ready for canning. I kept a 1 qt. pot from my old set of Revere Ware and use it for sauces.

What are the dimensions of 3 quart?

I have the 3-1/2 quart and it is 8 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall.

do the pot handles have an opening/hole that would allow them to be hung up? I can't tell from the pics. Thanks!

does the pot have a lip

There is no lip and you cannot pour from these without making a big, hot mess. I have owned this for years and the only complaint I have about them is that it is impossible to pour anything directly from the pan without it running down the outside of the pan while you pour. It's not a deal-breaker, but I have to use a different pan if I intend to try pouring something out of it directly.
